West Nile Comes to Sullivan

MONTICELLO — August 11, 2000 – County officials announced yesterday that a dead bluejay was sent to health officials on July 26 and has just been confirmed as being infected with the West Nile virus.
The bird was discovered somewhere near Yulan and was indigenous to the area, said officials during a meeting of the Executive Committee of the county legislature yesterday.
