Francis P. Harrington
Ret. Security Super, 63

Francis Patrick Harrington of Wurtsboro, a retired security supervisor for Sorrento Cheese in Goshen and a former Congers resident, died Friday, July 7, 2000, at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown. He was 63 years of age.
The son of Catherine O'Reilly Harrington and the late Patrick Harrington, he was born December 3, 1936, in White Plains.
Serving with the United States Army for 32 years, he retired as a Warrant Officer.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Catherine Axtman Harrington, at home; his mother of White Plains; three sons, Stephen Harrington and Thomas Harrington, both of Wurtsboro, and Michael Harrington of Benton City, Wash.; two daughters, Teresa Pinto of Wurtsboro and Catherine Marks of Newburgh; a sister, Kathleen Rosa of White Plains; seven grandchildren, Karen, Jennifer, Melissa, Matthew, Michael, Martin and Robert; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Michael and Patrick Harrington.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Monday at St. Joseph's Church in Wurtsboro.
Burial was made in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 628, Monticello, N.Y. 12701 or to the American Cancer Society, 6725 Lyons St., P.O. Box 7E, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Wurtsboro.

Sandra L. Panchyshyn
Registered Nurse, 38

Sandra L. "Sandi" Panchyshyn of Lake Huntington, a registered nurse and a lifelong area resident, died Saturday, July 8, 2000, at the Grover M. Hermann Division of Community General Hospital in Callicoon. She was 38 years of age.
The daughter of Aaron Hann and Elizabeth Jones, she was born June 1, 1962, in Port Jervis.
Mrs. Panchyshyn was a mother-baby nurse at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown and a certified Lamaze instructor. She was the first president of the Sullivan County Habitat for Humanity, a former member of the Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corps and a member of the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church.
In a family statement, it was said, "She will be remembered as a very generous and caring individual who was a loving mother, daughter and friend."
She is survived by her mother of Lake Huntington; her father of the state of Florida; a daughter, Elizabeth Panchyshyn, at home; a sister, Doris Hann of Mountaindale; three nieces and a nephew.
Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Huntington Presbyterian Church, Lake Huntington, with the Rev. Richard K. Avery officiating.
Burial will be made in the Fosterdale Cemetery in Fosterdale.

Gordon Nervegna, 56

Gordon R. Nervegna, a 9-year resident of Tyler Hill, Pa., died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at his home. He was 56 years of age.
He was born January 3, 1944, in New York City and moved to Tyler Hill in 1991. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War, and a member of the American Legion Post of Queens Village. He loved motorcycling, fishing and hunting.
He is survived by two sons, Gordon C. Nervegna of Callicoon and Michael S. Nervegna of Swan Lake; a sister, Ellen Stapleton of Long Island; and a grandson, Michael Timothy Nervegna of Callicoon. He was engaged to be married and is also survived by his fiancée.
Services were held Saturday at the Arthur A. Bryant Funeral Home in Honesdale with the Rev. Paul McCauley officiating.
