Rae Levine
Ret. Office Mgr., 89

Rae Levine of Kiamesha Lake, a retired office manager for Kornish Knit Wear Company of Brooklyn and a longtime area resident, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 89 years of age.
The daughter of the late William and Mary Snyderman, she was born May 1, 1911, in Russia.
Mrs. Levine was a past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star; a member of the Fallsburg Hadassah, the Loch Sheldrake Senior Citizens and a primary fundraiser for Deborah Hospital, Child Growth.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Louis Levine, at home; a son, Mitchel Levine of New York City; and three grandchildren, Lisa, Rebecca and David.
Services were held at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello on Friday with Rabbi Irving Goodman officiating.
Burial was made in Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Queens.

Helena A. Planz
Homemaker, 98

Helena A. Planz, a 31-year resident of Abrahamsville, Pa., formerly of Rock Valley, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000. She was 98 years of age.
The widow of Joseph Planz, she was born in Astoria.
Mrs. Planz was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rileyville, Pa.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph W. and Dolores of Abrahamsville, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Adrienne Planz of Huntington; two grandsons, Joseph W. Planz Jr. of Tampa, Fla., and James Planz Jr. of San Diego, Calif.; five granddaughters, Peggy Martin of Tampa, Fla., Mary Ellen Russell of Ponte Vedra, Fla., Joanne Planz of New Port Richey, Fla., and Cathy Planz and Deborah Planz, both of Huntington; and eight great-grandchildren.
No information of services and burial was submitted.

James M. Fraccio
Antique Dealer, 76

James M. Fraccio of Narrowsburg, an antique dealer for Tusten Mountain Antiques in Narrowsburg, a 30-year area resident and a former resident of Yonkers, died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at the Mercy Community Hospital in Port Jervis. He was 76 years of age.
The son of the late William and Lena Bortone Fraccio, he was born October 15, 1923, in Mount Vernon.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Fraccio, at home; a son, Andrew Fraccio; a sister, Joan Brodie; a grandson, Maxwell; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Heather.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Monday at St. Anthony’s R.C. Church in Yulan with the Rev. Evan Greco officiating.
Interment was made in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Eldred.

Funeral arrangements were made by the Gray-Rasmussen Funeral Home in Barryville.

Emma Bossley
Homemaker, 75

Emma Bossley of Jeffersonville, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Friday, August 4, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 75 years of age.
The daughter of the late Roy and Marie Eggler Norris, she was born June 23, 1925, in Jeffersonville.
Mrs. Bossley was a member of the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church and the Women’s Association of the Church.
She is survived by her husband, Emerson Bossley, at home; three daughters, Karen Huter of Pine Bush, Virginia Bossley of Pensacola, Fla., and Barbara Edwards of Liberty; two sisters, Eileen Robertson of Swan Lake and Dorothy Christensen of Rancho Rio, N. Mex.; a foster sister, Shirlee Hillyer of Elk Grove, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kimberly Edgar and Melissa and Erin Edwards; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Nicole Edgar; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Burial was made in the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Cemetery in Jeffersonville. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Gail A. Doolittle
Ret. Secretary, 62

Gail A. Doolittle of Wurtsboro, a retired secretary for Ellenville Central School and a lifelong area resident, died August 4, 2000, at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown. She was 62 years of age.
The daughter of the late Peter and Ethel Penn Wiedrich, she was born December 14, 1937, in Elba. She was the widow of Franklin Doolittle.
Mrs. Doolittle was a member of the Mamakating United Methodist Church, the Summitville Fire Company Auxiliary and the Mamakating and Westbrookville Senior Citizens.
She is survived by three sons, Peter Doolittle of Ellenville, John Doolittle of Monticello and Franklin Doolittle of Wurtsboro; eight grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Monday at the Loucks Funeral Home in Ellenville with Pastor Randolph Yerkes officiating.
Burial was made in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Phlllipsport.

Henry H. Kessler
Ret. Supervisor, 77

Henry H. Kessler of Smallwood, a retired supervisor of trunk facilities for New York Telephone Company in New York City and a 35-year area resident, died Thursday, August 3, 2000, at his home in Smallwood. He was 77 years of age.
The son of the late William and Lucinda Jackens Kessler, he was born August 4, 1922, in Queens.
A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Sgt. Andrew Brucher Post No. 5499, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in White Lake.
Mr. Kessler is survived by his wife, Eleanore M. Griesbeck Kessler, at home; a daughter, Jean Allen of Hartford, Ala.; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Alison and Cathy Stahl, all living with their guardians, Joan and Richard Wrede of Hebron, Conn., Michael Allen of Hartford, Ala., and Christa Chupp of Smallwood; and a great-granddaughter, Dakota Allen of Hartford, Ala. He was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Robert Stahl; and a grandson, Gary Chupp.
Services were held Monday at the Ramsay’s Funeral Home in Kauneonga Lake.
Burial was made in the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.

Louise E. Exton
Ret. Attendant, 98

Louise E. Exton of Liberty, a retired attendant at Orange & Rockland Psychiatric Center in Pearl River and a longtime area resident, died Friday, August 4, 2000, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 98 years of age.
The daughter of the late Michael and Irma Uricek Williams, she was born June 17, 1902, in Budapest, Hungary. She was the widow of Wilbert J. Exton.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and John Barton of Rock Hill; a grandson, Robert Barton of Monticello; a granddaughter, Jane Jones of Wurtsboro; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services and burial were made in the Rock Hill Cemetery in Rock Hill with the Rev. Robert Pinto officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Council of the Sullivan County Adult Care Center, Liberty, N.Y. 12754.
Funeral arrangements were made by the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home in Monticello.

Hyman Perlman
Ret. Court Officer, 87

Hyman Perlman of Boca Raton, Fla., a retired court officer for Sullivan County courts in Monticello and a longtime Monticello resident, died Saturday, August 5, 2000, in Hospice by the Sea in Boca Raton. He was 87 years of age.
The son of the late Henry and Sarah Baunstein Perlman, he was born April 17, 1913, in New York City.
Mr. Perlman was a World War II veteran of the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias; Jesse Brahms Post No. 209, Jewish War Veterans; the Monticello Lions Club; and was the former longtime owner and operator of the Westend Diner in Monticello.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Faye Shapiro Perlman, at home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Howard and Helene Perlman of Monticello and Lonny Perlman of Rochester; a daughter and son-in-law, Ellen and Steven Krull of Fairport; two brothers, Israel Perlman of Orangeburg and Harry Perlman of West Springfield, Mass.; five grandchildren, Geoffrey, Kenneth and Sarah Krull, Heather Pollack and Rebecca Perlman; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Maxwell and Louis Perlman, and a sister, Rebecca Sachs.
Services were held Monday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.
Burial was made in the Workmen Circle #610 Cemetery in Monticello.
