Meta M. Rothacker
Homemaker, 92

Meta M. Rothacker of Sebring, Fla., a homemaker and former Bloomingburg resident, died Monday, September 18, 2000 at the age of 92 years.
The daughter of the late August and Maria Raushning Boettcher, she was born March 28, 1908, in Sebring, Fla.
A farmer in Bloomingburg, she was a longtime volunteer in the Kitchen Band of the Salvation Army, a member of the Salvation Army Church and its Ladies Home League, and a member of the Sebring Tourist Club.
She is survived by two sons, Gustav Rothacker of Bloomingburg and Eugen Rothacker of Afton, Va.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan St., Wurtsboro, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be made in the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.

Mary E. Larkin
Legal Secy., 62

Mary E. Larkin of Cochecton Center, a legal secretary for Levine, Glass & Miller in Monticello and a 23-year area resident, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at her home. She was 62 years of age.
The daughter of the late Lawrence and Martha Gessler Towers, she was born December 11, 1937, in Manhattan.
She is survived by five children, Lynne Weber of Hawley, Pa., Andrew Larkin of Oceanside, Allison Larkin of Marathon, Susan DeVito of Swan Lake and Michael Larkin of Patchogue; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation was made at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott.
A graveside service and burial of the cremains will be held Monday at Glen Cove Cemetery in Narrowsburg with Deacon John Riley officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ulster County Unit, 159 Green St., Kingston, N.Y. 12401.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Rasmussen Sons Funeral Home in Narrowsburg.

Virginia D. Burns
Ret. Telephone Oper., 85

Virginia D. Burns of Monticello, a retired operator for New York Telephone in Monticello and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, September 17, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 85 years of age.
The daughter of the late Allen and Florence Reed Parish, she was born May 3, 1915, in Monticello. She was the widow of Leslie J. Burns who died March 31, 1999.
Mrs. Burns was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monticello and the Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John and Christine Burns of Monticello; a daughter, Marcia Burns of Monticello; a daughter-in-law, Bette Burns of Fremont Center; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Ronald "Buddy" Burns, a brother, Walter Parish and a sister, Myra Gustafson.
Services were held Wednesday at the Ramsay's Funeral Home in Monticello with the Rev. Rosemary Smith officiating.
Burial was made in Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.

Joshua A. Hundley, 18

Joshua A. Hundley of Willowemoc, a graduate of Livingston Manor High School and a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, September 17, 2000, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 18 years of age.
The son of John Hundley Jr. and Nancy Lavelle, he was born July 21, 1982, in Harris.
He is survived by his father of Dixon, Calif.; his mother of Willowemoc; his maternal grandmother, Nancy C. Lavelle of Willowemoc; his paternal grandfather, John Hundley Sr. of Long Beach, Calif; a sister, Cecilia Hundley of Willowemoc; a nephew, Jacob Hundley; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, John Hundley III.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter's Church, 264 North Main St., Liberty.
Burial will be made in Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Joshua A. Hundley Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Livingston Manor Central School, Livingston Manor, N.Y. 12758.

Isadore Rosenshein
Ret. NYFD Lieut., 87

Isadore Rosenshein of Woodbourne, a retired Lieutenant of the New York City Fire Department and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. He was 87 years of age.
The son of the late Amel and Rachel Yatvinski Rosenshein, he was born May 26, 1913, in Woodbourne. He was the widower of Charlotte Rosenshein.
Mr. Rosenshein was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of the Jewish War Veterans and a member of the Woodbourne Synagogue.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur and Denna Rosenshein of Woodbourne; a daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Alan Wolfert of Chappaqua; six grandchildren, Marcy, Lauren, Alison, Mark, Jeffrey and Ellen; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held Tuesday at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello with Rabbi M. Boas officiating.
Interment was made in the Woodbourne Synagogue Cemetery in Glen Wild.

Anna Green
Homemaker, 80

Anna Green of Woodridge, a homemaker and a longtime area resident, died Saturday, September 16, 2000, at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif. She was 80 years of age.
The daughter of the late Max and Fanny Miller, she was born July 3, 1920, in Brooklyn. She was the widow of Nathan Green.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Audrey Green of Pioneer Town, Calif., and Michael and Kathleen Green of Woodridge; a daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Harry Dragun of Bronxville; and two grandchildren, Peter and Lauryl.
Services were held Wednesday at the Woodridge Synagogue in Woodridge with Rabbi Irving Goodman officiating.
Burial was made in the Woodridge Synagogue Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home in Monticello.

Alisia Durant
Waitress, 33

Alisia Durant of Ellenville, a waitress at the Brown's Hotel in South Fallsburg and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at the Albany Medical Center. She was 33 years of age.
The daughter of Moraima Rosario Rivera and the late Rafael Rosario, she was born April 10, 1967, in Ellenville.
She is survived by her husband, Brian W. Durant, at home; a daughter, Gloria Oquendo, and a son, Gerardo Oquendo, both of Ellenville; her mother of Ellenville; a brother, Jose Rosario of Ellenville; a sister, Carmen Rivera of Ellenville; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Julio Rivera.
Friends may call on Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Loucks Funeral Home, Route 209, Ellenville.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1 p.m on Friday at the Church of St. Mary and St. Andrew in Ellenville.
Burial will be made in Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville.

Carmela J. Capicotta
Homemaker, 80

Carmela J. Capicotta of Liberty, a homemaker and a three-year area resident, died Tuesday, September 19, 2000, at the Seelig Division of Community General Hospital in Harris. She was 80 years of age.
The daughter of the late Peter and Maria Marciano Marro, she was born January 2, 1920, in Brooklyn.
In a family statement, it was said, "She was a loving wife, dedicated and loving mother and foster mother to many children. She will be missed."
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Vincent R. Capicotta, at home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marilyn Capicotta of Liberty and Janet and Thomas Lee of Davie, Fla.; a sister, Ann Cicero of Florida; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Stella Marro of Long Island; two grandsons, Dr. Ronald Lee and his wife, Kelly, of Gainesville, Fla., and Shawn Lee of Miami, Fla.; two great-granddaughters, Katriel and Kira; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday.
Rosary Service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter's Church, 264 North Main St., Liberty, with the Rev. Robert Geissler officiating.
Burial will be made in St. Peter' s Cemetery in Liberty.

Ethel M. Barry
Homemaker, 74

Ethel M. Barry of Middletown, a homemaker and lifelong area resident, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at the Horton Medical Center in Middletown following a long illness. She was 74 years of age.
The daughter of the late Frank and Kinda Powell Witherel, she was born January 22, 1926, in Hurleyville. She was the widow of Eugene Barry Sr.
Mrs. Barry enjoyed Bingo and was a member of AARP.
She is survived by two sons, Eugene Barry Jr. of Middletown and Kevin Barry of Montgomery; and two granddaughters, Allyson and Morgan Barry, both of Montgomery. She was predeceased by three sons, Robert, Harold and Edward Barry.
Friends may call at the Morse Funeral Home, 33 Railroad Ave., Middletown, on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Leach officiating.
Burial will be made in the family plot in the Wallkill Cemetery in Middletown.

Ethel Wahl
Homemaker, 94

Ethel Wahl of Roscoe, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died Monday, September 18, 2000, at the Roscoe Community Nursing Home in Roscoe. She was 94 years of age.
The daughter of the late Edward and Agnes Peters Schmidt, she was born May 2, 1906, in North Branch. She was the widow of Claude Wahl.
Mrs. Wahl was a member of the Fremont Methodist Church and its Ladies Aid Society.
She is survived by a son, Donald Wahl of Roscoe; a brother, Harold Schmidt of Roscoe; a nephew, John Schmidt of White Sulphur Springs; and a niece, Marilyn Schmidt Eldridge of Cape Cod, Mass. She was predeceased by a brother, Gordon Schmidt.
Graveside services and burial were held at the Fremont Center Cemetery in Fremont Center on Wednesday with the Rev. James O'Rourke officiating.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Callicoon.

Myrtle C. Behling
Retired Secy., 82

Myrtle C. "Mickey" Behling, a homemaker, a retired secretary for Standard Oil in New York City and a 26-year area resident, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at her home. She was 82 years of age.
The daughter of the late Julius and Christine Tietjen Henning, she was born December 4, 1917, in Brooklyn. She was the widow of George "Chris" Behling who passed away in April.
Mrs. Behling was a member of the Tusten Senior Citizens, St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Tusten Volunteer Ambulance Corps, all in Narrowsburg; and a member of the Cricket Hill Golf Club in Hawley, Pa.
She is survived by three daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Goffin of Woodstock, Nancy and Bob Dillon of Minneapolis, Minn., and Jill Padua of Narrowsburg; a sister, Christine Behrens of Bergenfield, N.J.; four grandchildren, Jesse Goffin, Matthew Dillon, Caroline Dillon and Evan Padua; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Marion, Dorothy and Eleanor.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Phyllis Haynes officiating.
Cremation will be made at the Twin Tiers Crematory in Endicott.

Albert Fimognari Sr.
Ret. Cont./Broker, 80

Albert W. Fimognari Sr. of Kauneonga Lake, a 30-year resident of the Town of Bethel, formerly of Queens, and a retired contractor and real estate broker, died Wednesday, September 20, 2000, at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 80 years of age.
The son of the late Michael and Sarah Misisco Fimognari, he was born September 1, 1920, in Springfield, Mass.
Mr. Fimognari currently was the Town Justice for the Town of Bethel. He was an active member of the community since his arrival in Sullivan County and was involved with the developmentof the Bethel Medical Center where he was a member of the Board of Directors. He was a past president and secretary of the Red Cross; a past officer of the Bethel Lions Club and a former member of the Kauneonga Lake Fire Department. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Sgt. Andrew Brucher Post #5499, Veterans of Foreign Wars, in White Lake and was a member of the New York State Magistrates Association.
He is survived by a daughter, Terese Fimognari of Liberty; two sons, Albert W. Fimognari Jr. of Smallwood and Robert Fimognari of Limerick, Pa.; three sisters, Phyllis Algosino of Flushing, Eleanor Fimognari of Manhattan and Marie Voss of Lake Ronkonkoma; a brother, Joseph Fimognari of Flushing; 11 grandchildren, Peter, Andrew and Anthony Dworetsky Jr. and Sara Fimognari, all of Liberty, Paul Dworetsky of Orlando, Fla., Shawn and Daniel Fimognari of Smallwood, Robert Jr. and Paul Fimognari of Limerick, Pa., and Allison and Veronica Fimognari of Patchogue; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Rose McGrisken, and two brothers, Richard and Michael Fimognari.
