LIVINGSTON MANOR — July 3, 2001 – The outstanding athletes of Livingston Manor Central School were honored on June 12.
The top awards went to Ryan Carlson and Rachelle “Rocky” Irwin as the Outstanding Athletes. Carlson was tabbed most valuable player in football, basketball and baseball. Irwin was the softball MVP.
Several teams and individuals were recognized that evening as the school hosted its annual athletic banquet.
The following is a list of the student-athletes honored in each varsity sport as well as the outstanding athletes for the 2000-2001 school year.
Football: Most Valuable Player – Ryan Carlson and Scott Denman; Most Improved Player – Ronald Milton; Coach’s Award – Jon Williams.
Boys’ Soccer: MVP – Carlos Pineda; MIP – Jared Bivins; Coach’s Award – Tom Dobrydney and Jason Kean.
Girls’ Soccer: MIP – Danielle Franco; Coach’s Award – Amy Krupp and Tegan Kern.
Girls’ Basketball: MVP – Bridget Ellison; MIP – Nikki Argent; Coach’s Award – Ashley Hoag.
Boys’ Basketball: MVP – Ryan Carlson; MIP – Chris Sabo; Coach’s Award – Jason Kean.
Cheerleading: MVP – Megan Blanton; Coach’s Award – LaToya Brown.
Baseball: MVP – Ryan Carlson; MIP – Clarence Hinkley; Coach’s Award – Ryan Edwards.
Softball: MVP – Rachelle Irwin and Alys Mann; MIP – Jamie Bowers; Coach’s Award – Amanda Irwin.
