Marjorie Hughes,
Machine Oper., 69
Marjorie Hahn Hughes of Valley Falls, a former sewing machine operator for Cluett's in Cohoes for a number of years and a former order taker at the Grand Union Warehouse, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospital in Troy, following a long illness. She was 69 years of age.
The daughter of the late Herbert and Viola Butler Hahn, she was born in Roscoe.
Mrs. Hughes was a member and travel coordinator of the Hoosic Valley Seniors.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Clifford Hughes (formerly of Callicoon), at home; a sister, Shirley Elmore of Ballston Spa; and an aunt, Inez Dietrichsen of Roscoe.
Interment was made in the Saratoga National Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Crandall officiating.

Stanley Natkin, 63
Stanley Natkin of Monticello, a longtime area resident, died Thursday, January 3, 2002, at the Seelig Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 63 years of age.
The son of the late Herman and Henrietta Delson Natkin, he was born April 11, 1938, in New York City.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalyn Natkin, at home; and two cousins, Anna Mae Vener of Riverdale and Joan Graff of New City.
Mr. Natkin was a member of Landfield Avenue Synagogue in Monticello.
Services were held Sunday at the Joseph N. Garlick Fuenral Home in Monticello with Rabbi Ben Zion Chanowitz officiating.
Burial was made in the Landfield Avenue Synagogue Cemetery in Monticello.
Robert Dole
Retired Farmer, 80
Robert "Bob" Dole of Monticello and Liberty, a retired farmer, died Thursday, January 3, 2002, at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, after a long illness. He was 80 years of age.
The son of the late Ralph and Edna Smith Dole, he was born February 18, 1921, in Johnstown.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude Palmateer Dole, at home; three sons James Dole and his companion, Julia Dolgas, of Hasbrouck, and Lawrence P. and his wife, Shirley Dole, and Timothy Lee Dole, all of Bradley; a sister, Marion Miller of Johnstown; four grandchildren, Lisa Dole, Julia Dole, Jason Dole and James Dole; and three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Dole, Robert Dole and Kyle Krier. He was predeceased by a son, David M. Dole, and a brother, Melvin F. Dole.
Private services and cremation were held.

Frank W. Wiederhold
Ret. Foreman, 85
Frank W. Wiederhold of Rosoce, a retired forman for the Schaefer Brewery in Brooklyn and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, January 2, 2002, at his home. He was 85 years of age.
The son of the late William and Catherine Letcher Wiederhold, he was born November 28, 1916, in Brooklyn.
A World War II veteran of the U.S. Army, he served with the 4th Infantry Division and was active in the capture of Chesbourgh, the liberation of Paris, the Battle of the Bulge, the Battle of Huertgen Forest, the Battle of Bastogone and was part of the first wave on D-Day. Mr. Wiederhold was a member of the Floyd Keener Post No. 315, American Legion, in Roscoe, and the 4th Infantry Division Association in Virginia.
He is survived by his wife, Marion Carr Wiederhold, at home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald A. and Gloria Wiederhold of Otisville and Richard C. and Elizabeth Wiederhold of Roscoe; a daughter and son-in-law, Lesley A. and Jeffrey Shapiro of Newburgh; a sister, Dorothy Maher of Hicksville; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty, followed by burial.

Earl S. Greer
Ret. Machinist, 88
Earl Solan Greer of Hancock, a retired machinist for Exxon Oil Refineries in Baytown, Tex., died at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton on Friday, January 4, 2002. He was 88 years of age.
The son of the late Thomas Solan and Ida Mae McBride Greer, he was born September 15, 1913, in Winnfield, La.
Mr. Greer was a member of Hancock Lodge No. 552, Free and Accepted Masons, and the Hancock Baptist Church, both in Hancock.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Marie Opal Winstead Greer, at home; a daughter, C. Marcyle Wallman of Callicoon; a grandson and his wife, Ronald Scott and Rose McManus of Hancock; and two great-grandchildren, Casey and Brandy McManus of Hancock. He was predeceased by two sisters.
Services were held Monday at the Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock with the Rev. James Barbour of the Hancock Baptist Church officiating.
Burial was made in the Riverview Cemetery in Hancock.

Theodore Decker Sr.

Theodore Ryan Decker Sr. of Forestburgh, a counselor for Abbott House of Swan Lake, died suddenly in Liberty on Sunday, January 6, 2002. He was 26 years of age.
The son of Theodore and Louise Cross Decker, he was born August 15, 1975, in Liberty.
Mr. Decker was an auxiliary police officer of the Town of Fallsburg and a member of Rickson Gracie JuJitsu Federational
He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Stacey Decker, two daughters, Amanda and Sammy, and three sons, Theodore, Brandon and Matthew, all at home; his mother, Louise Seitz of Monticello, his father of Monticello; his grandmother, Virginia Dunn and her husband, Herbie, of Hasbrouck; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Denise and Ted DeGraw of Woodbourne, Jenny and Tim Yager of Grahamsville, and Rosie VanEtten of Rock Hill; a brother, Tommy Decker and his companion, Renee, of Loch Sheldrake; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Colonial Memorial Funeral Home, 396 Main St., Woodbourne, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Roy Shaffer officiating.
Interment will be made in St. Peter's Cemetery in Monticello.

Lauren A. Hughson

Lauren Ann Hughson of Jeffersonville, a student at Sullivan West Central School's Jeffersonville Elementary School, died Saturday, January 5, 2002, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, in Philadelphia, Pa., after a long illness. She was 10 years of age.
The daughter of James and Diane Orr Hughson, she was born January 28, 1991, in Honesdale, Pa.
Lauren was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville and the Junior Golf League of Sullivan County.
In a family statement, it was said, "The Hughson family would like to thank their friends, neighbors and family and the entire community for their love, support and prayers throughout Lauren's illness."
She is survived by her parents at home in Jeffersonville; a sister, Jamie Lynn Hughson, at home; her maternal grandmother, Pauline Orr of Youngsville; her paternal grandmother, Helen Hughson of Jeffersonville; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Robert McLeod officiating.
Burial will be made in Greenhill Cemetery in Youngsville.

Irene Muggleston
Homemaker, 75
Irene E. Muggleston of Tuscaloosa, Ala., a former Liberty resident and a homemaker, died Thursday, January 3, 2002, at the DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. She was 75 years of age.
The daughter of the late Charles Albert and Julia Cavanaugh Brown, she was born January 9, 1926, in Glens Falls. She was the widow of William B. Muggleston who died in 1975.
Mrs. Muggleston was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church in Liberty.
She is survived by three sons, William Muggleston of Philadelphia, Pa., Kevin Muggleston of Reading, Pa., and Timothy Muggleston of Tuscaloosa, Ala; a sister, Beverly Gillam of Cut-N-Shoot, Tex.; six grandchildren, Roby, Christopher, Jonathon, Casey, Ryan and Paul; and several nieces and nephews.
Private cremation was held in Alabama.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 South Main St., Liberty.
A Memorial Mass will be offered at St. Peter's R.C. Church, 264 North Main St., Liberty, on Thursday at 11:45 a.m. with the Rev. Ivan Csete officiating.
