FALLSBURG – November 26, 2002:

Overall Record: 9-5-1

League Record: 5-2-1 OCIAA Division IV

Top Performers: Junior/senior Bakarry Ceesay scored a team-high 23 goals and also registered a team-best 11 assists.

Season Highlight(s): “We started out the season with a lack of players,” Coach Paul Marsden said. “But we had a really good season. We split with [The] Family [School] and tied Liberty at Liberty after tying them here at home.”
Marsden also noted that his team defeated a tough Tuxedo team, a fellow OCIAA Division IV squad.

Team Awards: Ceesay was honored as the Comets’ MVP. Senior defensemen Vernon Poole was named the team’s MIP (Most Improved Player) and senior Jon Hinton received the Rollie Allen Sportsmanship Award.
