ELDRED — March 28, 2003 – At the recent Eldred School Board meeting, the board appointed current High School Principal Ivan Katz to the position of superintendent of Eldred Central School, beginning September 1.
Katz will replace retiring Superintendent Candace Mazur, but his salary and benefits were not mentioned since his contract remains under review.
In other business, Highland Supervisor Allan Schadt presented student Richard Watts with a certificate of appreciation for his recent submission of a design to the Highland 150th anniversary celebration banner contest.
The district also received a $15,000 donation from a philanthropic organization.
