LIBERTY June 17, 2003 The Sullivan County BOCES Special Education Graduation held on June 13 is just one of the many graduations to come this month, but it held special meaning for everyone there.
The ceremony occurred at the BOCES Rubin Pollack Education Center in Liberty.
This years theme, You Are The Future, was reflected throughout the ceremony.
Shawn Ferguson was the class speaker and had much to say about his years at BOCES while congratulating his class. Ferguson also won the Gene Smith School To Work Award.
After Heather Hinkley sang A Better World to the graduates, a slide show was presented, showing the class evolution at BOCES, bringing them to the next chapter in their lives.
Jessica Rose Boyles won the Peter Scurastone Memorial Award, while Marta Colon won the Sullivan County Cares Coalition Award. Devin Bowers won the BOCES Board Award, and Cindy Pate won the CASA Award.
James Faraci received the Presidents Academic Achievement Award, while Sunny Hoffman won the Thelma Newman Award.
