SULLIVAN COUNTY July 8, 2003 The skies blazed across Sullivan County this past weekend, with both professional and amateur fireworks delighting all ages. From Roscoe to Narrowsburg, Liberty to Callicoon, Kauneonga Lake to Monticello and beyond, colorful streamers like those pictured here were brilliant reminders of the holiday. (Note the reflection of the blast in the hood and windshield of a pickup truck at the Villa Roma Saturday.) The clear skies also proved a boon for sunshine-dependent businesses, which saw loads of tourists and county residents all three days. Although heavy, traffic flowed smoothly in most locations, and the general buzz in the area was a welcome change from the rain-soaked, colorless and quiet days of June . . . and May . . . and April . . .
