KIAMESHA LAKE April 25, 2003 Mark Hesleitner scored his first ever 300 game last week at Kiamesha Lanes, while David Sawall pounded the maples for a 299 recently at Liberty Lanes.
Hesleitner, 42, of Monticello, scored the 300 game on April 14 in the Monday Night Mens League at Kiamesha Lanes. This is 15th 300 game scored in the 2002-2003 league season at Kiamesha Lanes.
Mark has been bowling for eight years and his previous high game and series were a 279 and a 720. His current average is 199 and he is a regular team member in the Monday Night Mens League and is a substitute bowler in the Wednesday Night Mens Mountain Top ISPN League. Hesleitner used a WhipLash bowling ball to score the perfect game. He bowled his 300 on lanes 2 and 3 and noted that not all the strikes were in the pocket.

Dave will also receive an ABC 100 pins over average for a game award.
He is single and is employed as a Day Care Assistant.
Bowling Tip
By Mike Luongo
Bowlers: This weeks tip is for any bowler who ends up out of balance at the foul line when delivering a bowling ball.
If you find yourself unable to finish your delivery in a strong, balanced position, it may be a result of your follow through. It is very important that when you follow through on your delivery, you do not reach OUT with your arm, but UP with your follow through.
The reason if you reach out, the weight of the ball will pull your body forward and may cause you to lose your balance. If instead, you reach up, you can stay planted in a strong, solid position to deliver your bowling ball with accuracy and leverage.
Mike Luongo is technically certified through IBPSIA and is a Silver Level Coach with USA Bowling. He is also the Northeast Technical Advisor for the Morich Bowling Ball Company (Morich Enterprises, Inc.).
