Tri-Valley Runs
At State Meet

POUGHKEEPSIE — November 18, 2003 – A pair of county athletes joined scores of other outstanding scholastic cross country runners on Saturday at Bowdoin Park in the Town of Poughkeepsie for the New York State Federation Cross Country Meet.
Tri-Valley’s Heather Iatauro and Travis Wolfe competed at the meet, which included athletes from public, private and parochial schools across New York State. No other athletes from Sullivan County qualified for the federation meet.
Iatauro ran the 3.1-mile course in a time of 19:08.3 to finish 19th in the girls’ race. Back on November 9 at Marcus Whitman High School in Rushville, Iatauro posted a time of 19:16 to win the New York State Class D championship.
In the boys’ race, Wolfe ran the Bowdoin Park course in a time of 17:45.62 to finish 120th. He qualified for the event by placing 10th in the state Class D race in Rushville.
Wolfe’s time in that event was 17:26.
