Harry McAnaney, 86
Retiree of Sperry Gyro

Harry McAnaney of Callicoon, a retiree of Sperry Gyroscope Co. in Lake Success with 43 years of service, died Thursday, September 2, 2004, at his home after a long illness. He was 86 years of age.
The son of the late James and Freda Greappel McAnaney, he was born July 18, 1918, in Brooklyn.
While living on Long Island, he belonged to two different bowling teams, the Vultures and the Minetmen, being one of the top bowlers and having won many trophies. He was a deacon in the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jackson Heights and Middletown.
In a family statement, it was said, "Our father and grandfather was a true gentlemen, loving caring and dedicated to his family. He was devoted to his loving wife, of 65 years as of July 22, 2004."
Mr. McAnaney is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lillian Renton McAnaney, at home; two daughters, Maureen Lamanno of Babylon and Karen Daly and her husband, Bill, of Middletown; 24 grandchildren, Robyn Bassler and her husband, Dennis, and Richard Lamanno and his wife, Christine, all of Bayshore, Karyn Talmadge and her husband, George, of Callicoon, Kellianne Freer and her husband, A.J., of Narrowsburg, Kimberly Daly and her husband, Shawn, of Middletown, Kristi-Jo Radeboldt of Otisville, Richard Radeboldt II of Cuddebackville, Tommy Radeboldt of Williamsburg, Va., Billy Daly Jr. of Middletown, Danny Daly and Jody Daly and her husband, Dean Ianazzi, all of Bloomingburg; and 12 great-grandchildren, Michael and Gabrielle Lamanno, Shane, Crystal and Brian Talmadge, Samantha, Brittney, Andrew and Matthew Freer, Brianna, Kayla and Tristan Radeboldt. He was predeceased by three brothers and a sister.
A Service of Remembrance was celebrated on Sunday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Middletown.

Maria Serrano
Homemaker, 37

Maria Ann Serrano of Port Jervis, a longtime area resident, died suddenly on Tuesday, August 31, 2004, in Narrowsburg. She was 37 years of age.
The daughter of Edward C. Lamphier and Lucille Evangelista Mulvey, she was born August 3, 1967 in the Bronx. She was the widow of Carlos Serrano.
Mrs. Serrano is survived by two sons, Joseph Serrano and Jose Serrano, and a daughter, Christina Serrano, all of Port Jervis; her mother and step-father, Lucille and Robert Mulvey of Godeffroy; her father of Roscoe; two brothers, Robert Lamphier of Port Jervis and Wilfredo Delgado of Norfolk, Va.; two sisters, Jessica Delgado of Philadelphia, Pa., and Melody Delgado of Cuddebackville; and several cousins, aunts and uncles.
Services were held Friday at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home in Port Jervis, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Port Jervis, with the Rev. Dennis Dinan officiating.
Burial was made in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
