March 26, 2004 – ELDRED
LADY YELLOWJACKETS

Overall Record: 9-10

League Record: 3-5 OCIAA VI

Top Scorers: Senior Lauren Timan led the Lady Yellowjackets this season, averaging 17.8 points per game. Timan had 74 steals this year and led the team in three-point shooting.
Junior Jessica Cherry was hot on her heels, averaging 13.6 points per game and leading the team in rebounds.

Season Highlight: According to Coach Frank Kean, the Lady Yellowjackets were at their best in a game against Florida (S.S. Seward).
The girls were down by 15 at one point during the away game and turned everything around, beating Florida handily.
“We played really well that game,” Kean said. “We passed well, we stole a couple of times . . .”

Season Lowlight: The Lady Yellowjackets buzzed right into sectional play this season, but they had their hopes clawed by the Lady Wildcats from Livingston Manor in a Class D opening round game.
“We had them 25 to 12 at the end of the first half,” Kean said. “But we got into foul trouble.”

Other comments: “I’ll miss the seniors,” Kean said. “They were great players.”
The team will lose Timan, Jenna Fredericks, Jen Liebmann, Roberta Wolff and Jenny Haas to graduation.
