MONTICELLO September 3, 2004 The 13th Annual Sullivan County Senior Games were held this week in Monticello.
The four-day competition began on Monday and ended yesterday with an awards luncheon.
Approximately 130 men and women ages 55 and older participated in the senior games.
Coordinated by Betsy Conaty and the Village of Monticello Parks and Recreation Department, the games included several events. The senior athletes competed in bingo, bocci, bowling, cribbage, darts, putting, horseshoes, ping pong, pinochle, scrabble, shuffleboard and a 1-mile walk.
Village of Monticello Mayor James Barnicle and Village of Monticello Manager Richard Sush presented medals to the winners of the events at yesterdays luncheon.
