Chamber Bestows Awards

CALLICOON — May 3, 2005 – County folks really know how to treat their own.
On Sunday, the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce & Industry presented the 14th Annual Sullivan County Pride Awards.
The event set aside to recognize the accomplishments of area residents and businesspeople was held at the Club at the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon.
Following words of welcome from Susan Hamlin, 2nd vice chairman of the county chamber, the presentation of awards was emceed by Jon Westerman, chamber president, and Terri Hess, vice president.
The township awards were presented by Shirley Felder-Morton, Wayne Zanetti and Lori Rubinstein-Fleck.
Recipients of the 2005 township awards: Denise Frangipane (Bethel), Sue Bodenstein (Callicoon), John Bernas (Cochecton), Ruth Brustman (Delaware), Ellen and Murray Bresky (Fallsburg), Paul Rausch (Forestburgh), Vincent Luciani (Fremont), George and Toni Kawalski (Highland), Allan Berube (Liberty), Ann Danuff (Lumberland), Veronica Heller (Mamakating), Charlie and Justine Blume (Neversink), Craig Sherwood (Rockland) and Paula Kay (Thompson).
The 2005 Distinguished Achievment Award was presented to Livingston Manor’s Andrew Krieger by Steve Wilkinson; the 2005 Distinguished Service Award to Ferndale’s Maurice Gerry by Susan Hamlin; and the 2005 Businessperson of the Year Award to Narrowsburg’s Rick Lander by Les Kristt.
