LIBERTY — July 5, 2005 – It’s now official, and Terri Hess is the new president of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.
A lifelong Sullivan County resident, Hess, 25, graduated from Jeffersonville High School in 1998.
Hess then received her associate’s degree in early childhood development from Sullivan County Community College in 2000. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in communications from SUNY Oneonta.
In an interview Thursday, Hess said that only that morning had she found out about the official appointment.
“I am absolutely thrilled,” said Hess. “I plan on being here for a very long time.”
The Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce is based on North Main Street in Liberty. Hess has been interim president ever since Jon Westergreen left the position earlier this year.
