Hilda Rosen, 84
Hilda Rosen of Atlanta, Ga., a former resident of Monticello, died Wednesday, December 21, 2005. She was 84 years of age.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, David Rosen; two daughters, Judith Goldberg of Atlanta, Ga. and Beverly Rosen of Albany; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister, Rosalyn Sharoff of Monticello; a brother, Albert Rosenblatt of West Palm Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Friday, December 23 in Atlanta, Ga.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 1925 Century Blvd., Suite 10, Atlanta, GA 30345.
Arrangements were made by Green Lawn Jewish Funeral Services at H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, of Atlanta, Ga.
Ozie L. Henley. 95
Ozie L. Henley of Ellenville died Tuesday, December 20, 2005 in Kingston. She was 95 years of age.
The daughter of the late Mr. Kajo and Mary Woods Warren, she was born March 27, 1910 in Stewart County, Georgia.
She is survived by four daughters, Mary Pearl Holliday of Michigan, Dorothy Bowen of Florida, Thelma and her husband, Herman, of Ellenville; and Rosa and her husband, Ash, of Alabama; two sons, Thomas and his wife, Sereatha, and Curtis and his wife, Rose, all of Alabama; 44 grandchildren; and lots of great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Henry James and James Jr., and two daughters, Oneida and Gladys.
Visitation will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 161 Center Street in Ellenville.
Funeral services will follow at the church with Pastor Vernon Jordan officiating.
Burial will be made in the Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Colonial Memorial Funeral Home of Woodbourne.
Bethany Quiat, 54
Mgr. at Global Resp.
Bethany Quiat of Sunrise, Fla., a manager for Global Response Corporation and a former resident of Mountaindale, died Thursday, December 15, 2005 at her home. She was 54 years of age.
The daughter of the late Sam Quiat and Shirley Quiat, she was born in 1951.
She is survived by her mother, a brother, Michael, and a sister, Gloria.
Ms. Quiat was a graduate of Fallsburg High School where she excelled in a wide variety of sports. She had a great love of horses and poetry and had lived in diverse regions of the country. She had worked for the past three years at Global Response Corporation.
Memorial contributions may be made to ones local animal shelter.
Assunta DeCristofaro
Homemaker, 80
Assunta Tina DeCristofaro of City Island, Bronx borough, died Thursday, December 22, 2005. She was 80 years of age.
The daughter of the late Damiano and Emmanuela Maddalena, she was born January 17, 1925 in the Bronx.
Mrs. DeCristafaro and her husband, Leo, enjoyed traveling and visiting with their children and grandchildren. They were longtime members of the City Island chapter of the AARP, with Tina being the travel manager for the group.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, at home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anne Marie and Bill Gerhard, and Joan and Vincent Mellusi, all of Yorktown Heights; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Rosemarie DeCristofaro of Callicoon; five grandchildren, Billy Gerhard, Gina and Carla Mellusi, and Marc and Matthew DeCristofaro; a brother and sister-in-law, Urbano and Theresa Maddalena; four sisters, Josephine Vitanza, Millie Grosso, Vera Bianco and her husband, Marty; Emma Fico and her husband, Lenny; her sisters-in-law, Patricia DeCristofaro and Lillie Fortunato; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by four brothers-in-law.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Star of the Sea on City Island.
Burial will be made in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
