To Monticello

MONTICELLO — October 14, 2005 – The Monticello Lady Panthers cruised to a 7-0 victory over visiting James O’Neill in a non-league tennis match Tuesday afternoon at DeHoyos Park.
The Lady Panthers won 16 out of 17 sets, including all 36 games in their doubles play.
Monticello improved to 10-3 on the season, while O’Neill fell to 1-7.  
The final scores were as follows: Singles: Alexis Brinkerhoff (Monticello) defeated Ali Margolies (O’Neill) 6-3, 6-1; Meredith Levine (M) d. Bea Copeland (O’Neill) 6-1, 1-6, 6-4; Meredith Gray (M) d. Sarah Baranik (O’Neill) 6-2, 6-4; Caitlin Van Keuren (M) d. Stephanie Moten (O’Neill) 6-1, 6-0.
Doubles: Ashley Mangabang-Theresa Grimm (M) d. Allison Geissler-Katherine Mucke (O’Neill) 6-0, 6-0; Rochelle Gibson-Tara Feller (M) d. Abbey Michaels-Gwen Cook (O’Neill) 6-0, 6-0; Hailey Van Keuren-Jillian Scheinfeld (M) d. Julia Wilson-Nora Holt (O’Neill) 6-0, 6-0.
