HONESDALE, PA April 11, 2006 A tragic fire claimed the life of a former Callicoon resident last week, also taking the lives of three of her children.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the house fire that killed Kristin Rave, 29, Thursday morning is still under investigation.
Rave, a graduate of Delaware Valley Central School and daughter of Dianna Gordon Bauer and Lyman Bauer of Inverness, Fla. (formerly of Hankins) and the late Robert Moore, was home at the time with two of her sons and one of her daughters.
Four-year-old Reese Moore, 2-year-old Dominick Rave and 1-year-old Savannah Rave all died in the blaze, along with family friend Heather Rake, 22.
Rave was living in Honesdale, Pa. She is survived by husband Freedom Rave; two children, Russell Lyons of Hankins and Destiny Moore of Honesdale; and four step-children, William, Brandon and Justina Rave of Harrisonburg, Va. and Jason Brink of Starrucca, Pa.
A number of siblings and her parents also survive her.
