WOODRIDGE June 23, 2006 The three-way trustee race in the Village of Woodridge wasnt settled by Tuesdays election.
With 31 absentee ballots at the Sullivan County Board of Elections yet to be counted and up to 30 more yet to be received who will fill the two open village board seats remains to be determined.
Those ballots will be counted on Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the elections office in Monticello.
Former Mayor James Slater has the unofficial lead with 109 votes so far, but incumbents Arthur Natelson and Steven Levy are within striking distance with 81 votes apiece.
The two top vote-getters will gain the two-year seats.
Mayor Ivan Katz, running unopposed, garnered 97 votes, while Robert Koferl earned one as a write-in candidate.
Written in as trustee candidates were Rivan Krieger and Louis Saperstein, each receiving one vote.
