THIS WAS THE truck involved in a fatal electrocution in Liberty on Monday afternoon. The truck belongs to Sullivan Structures, a local business, which employed the man who was believed to be operating the vehicle and who subsequently died from injuries sustained in the accident.

Worker Electrocuted in Liberty Project
By Dan Hust and Nathan Mayberg LIBERTY November 28, 2006 A Narrowsburg man was apparently electrocuted yesterday while working at the intersection of Mill and Oberferst streets and Neversink Road in Liberty.
Liberty Police did not identify the man at press time, as they were still on the scene, but witnesses said it was Todd Panich of Bernas Construction who suffered the lethal charge.
Eyewitnesses said a Sullivan Structures truck caught its boom on a powerline, but again, this could not be confirmed by authorities at press time.
Police only confirmed the electrocution, not the death, of an unidentified man engaged in the extensive roadwork along Mill Street, which doubles as Route 52 and Route 55 in that area.
The street was closed for several hours while an investigation was conducted.
