KIAMESHA LAKE November 24, 2006 Forty-three-year-old White Lake bowler Dwayne Cabrera is joining an elite group amongst Sullivan County bowlers.
Cabrera continued to show his bowling prowess by blasting the maples for his 15th career 300 game on Wednesday, November 15 in the Wednesday Men’s League at Kiamesha Lanes.
This lefty bowler recorded the perfect score with all 12 hits in the pocket on Lanes 5 and 6 using a Burgundy Hammer bowling ball.
Cabrera has been bowling for 31 years and has a previous high series of 812. He currently maintains a 211 average in the Wednesday Men’s League, which is the only league in which he bowls.
His teammates on the Boys Nite Out team include Marc Anthony, Eddie Blume, Bobby Cooper and Ralph Gandulla.
Cabrera, who is engaged to be married, is employed as a serviceman with Fallsburg Gas.
Dwayne’s 300 is the third this season in Sullivan County. The first perfect game was rolled by Tom Drobysh on September 12 in the Tuesday Mixed Fireman’s League at Kiamesha Lanes. The second 300 game was recorded by Kyle Stevens on October 7 in the Saturday Mixed league at Liberty Lanes.
