Fanslau out?

MONTICELLO — January 25 — County legislators yesterday unanimously agreed to hammer out a separation agreement with County Manager David Fanslau subject to review by outside counsel.
Expected ever since a majority of legislators expressed dissatisfaction with Fanslau, his departure is being negotiated with a team of legislators as a "graceful exit," sources said.
Part of the deal reportedly included an agreement not to speak negatively about either party, effectively halting legislators' criticism of the county's top appointed public official. Fanslau is presumably under that prohibition as well, and he declined to comment.
