Florence Jacobson, 94
July 8, 1915-June 5, 2010

Florence Jacobson died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Myrna J. Coffey, in Lawrenceville, Georgia.
Born in New York City on July 8, 1915, Florence later relocated to Hurleyville, NY, with her family.
In 1940, Florence married Louis B. “Perk” Jacobson, who predeceased her in 2004. She was also predeceased by her parents, Lena and Morris Frumovich, and by her older sister, Elsie Freier.
Perk and Flo made their home in Hurleyville, working together at Perk’s Market and raising their family.
She is survived by her daughters, Myrna J. Coffey, Bette J. Godfrey and her husband Drexel; her grandchildren, Lydia Evans and her husband Colin, Eleanor Godfrey, Heather C. Wren and her husband Doug; two great-grandchildren, Everett and Naomi Wren; her sister, Ruth Gally; in-laws, Gail Makofsky and Helen and Bill Carlson; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and her dear companion and caregiver, Dianah Barclay.
Florence traveled the world with Perk, and in addition to her family, she loved music, reading, and her husband’s puns. She will be remembered for her sweet nature and her courage in overcoming episodes of physical challenges throughout her life.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday morning, June 9, at 11:30 a.m., at the Ansche Hurleyville Cemetery in Hurleyville. Following the funeral service, the family will be gathering at Frankie and Johnny’s in Hurleyville to receive friends.

Stephanie Borchert, 68
Nov. 6, 1941 - June 6, 2010

Stephanie L. Borchert, a longtime resident of Beach Lake, Pa., passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, Pa. She was 68.
Stephanie was the daughter of the late Gustave and Elizabeth Anderson. She was born November 6, 1941 in Flushing, NY.
Stephanie was married for 49 years to Ronald E. Borchert who survives. She attended St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg, NY. She was a member of the Stitching Witches.
A family statement reads, “Stephanie was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to quilt and paint. She was a very crafty person. She will greatly be missed by her family and all that knew her.”
She is survived by her husband Ronald at home; three children, Tracy Borchert of Honesdale, Pa., Stacy Ferraro and her husband Joseph of Bethpage, NY, and Wayne Borchert of College Point, NY; two brothers, William Anderson and his wife Joan of Virginia, and Edwin Anderson and his wife Marcia of Great Neck, NY; six grandchildren, Erica Elferis, Caesar Rivera Jr., Kristina Borchert, Jennifer Ferraro, Kathryn Ferraro and Elizabeth Ferraro; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Wednesday, June 9 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and Thursday, June 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main Street, Narrowsburg, NY 12719.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, June 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier R.C. Church, Narrowsburg.
Burial will follow at Glen Cove Cemetery, Narrowsburg.
