Theresa M. Coney, formerly of Kauneonga Lake, passed away in Hudson, FL on June 28, 2010. She was 79.
She was born in Forestine (Black Lake), NY on December 28, 1930 to the late Thomas Colo and Lena Bassney Colo. She married her late husband, Emmitt R. Coney, in 1950.
She worked for Monticello Greenhouses for over 30 years. She and her husband moved to Hudson, FL in 1987.
She leaves behind two sons, Emmitt E. Coney of Hudson, FL and Jerry Coney and his wife Gayle of Hartsville, TN; a daughter Marion Parks Dolan and her husband Patrick of Bloomingburg, NY; grandchildren, Richard Parks, Tricia Parks, Jerrod Coney, and Zach and Rachel Schiffer; three sisters, Margaret Edelman and her husband Walt of Hudson, FL, Mary Messenger and her husband Claude of Old Town, FL and Lillian Coney and her companion John Matson of Wurtsboro and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, William, Ralph and Charles Colo; sisters, Katherine Hector and Christina Kiefer.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 3534 State Rt. 55, Kauneonga Lake. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Coon officiating.
Interment of ashes will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel following the services.
