Vincent T. Whitmore died August 5, 2010 at his home in Cary, North Carolina. He was 89.
He was born April 26, 1921 to Bessie and Thomas Whitmore. He was a retired Callicoon postal clerk and Long Eddy mail carrier.
He is survived by his wife, Vesta, of Cary, NC; son, Howard Whitmore and wife Beverly of Callicoon; daughter Christine Whitmore of Hortonville; son Thomas Whitmore and wife Karen of Damascus, Pa.; daughter Lori (Long) Whitmore of Loch Sheldrake; son Berwyn Williams of Campbell Hall; and son Robert Williams and wife Helena of Raleigh, NC. His grandchildren include Erica Boyd and husband Vincent of Cochecton; Austin Whitmore and wife Abbie of Mebane, NC; Noelle Whitmore of Raleigh, NC; Nathaniel Whitmore, Cortney Whitmore and fiance Earl Shane Kinney of Damascus, Pa., Joshua and Brian Long, both of Callicoon, Jennifer Williams of Campbell Hall; Cory Williams and wife Karen of Middletown; Erin Marcum and husband, Brad of Apex, NC; Beth Hoffman and husband Lynn of Pittsboro, NC. He had 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by grandson Jason Long and daughter-in-law Elaine Williams.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 22 at the Conklin Hill, Pa. Church.
