Lillian Buddenhagen Frykholm

Lillian Buddenhagen Frykholm died August 3, 2010 at the Avoca Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Avoca, Iowa. She was 89.
Lillian was born on October 29, 1920 in Callicoon, New York to Herman and Edna (Krantz) Buddenhagen.
She attended Buffalo State Teachers College and earned her Master’s at Columbia University. She lived many years in Williston Park, New York while teaching in the Roslyn School District. She and husband Clarence retired to Sanford, North Carolina in 1979. Several years after Clarence passed on, Lillian relocated to Neola, Iowa.
She is survived by daughters Nancy Tornquist of Parker, Colo., and Carol Jensen of Neola, Iowa; sons-in-law Jack Tornquist and Dale Jensen, DVM; grandchildren Kyle Jensen and his wife Jill, Ryan Jensen, Janel Tornquist Klintobe and her husband Brandon, Jason Tornquist and his wife Brittany; great-grandchildren Kendal and Kellan Jensen and Cameron Klinetobe; nieces Elizabeth Buddenhagen, Marilyn Buddenhagen, Joan Buddenhagen, and Janis Buddenhagen Schroeder; grandnieces and grand nephews Shauna Buddenhagen, Katie Schroeder, Steven Schroeder and Joseph Schroeder.
Lillian was predeceased by her brother, the late Harvey Buddenhagen of Callicoon, New York.
Lillian will be buried in Jeffersonville, New York. Memorials may be given to the First Presbyterian Church of Neola, Iowa.
