Doris Maas Cortese, 81
August 24, 1929 - October 15, 2010

Doris Maas Cortese of Beach Lake, Pa., a lifelong resident of the area, passed away at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, Pa., where she had been a resident since August, on Friday, October 15, 2010. She was 81.
She was born in Lake Huntington, NY, on August 24, 1929 to the late Harold and Esther Orr Maas.
Doris was the widow of John J. Cortese, who had passed away on June 16, 2005. She was a member of the Grace Bible Church, Narrowsburg, NY.
Doris is survived by two sons: Richard Cortese and his wife Beth and Daniel Cortese and his wife Laura; four daughters: Kathy Rish and her husband Ed of Dallas, Pa., Luanne Cole and her husband Don, Wendy Samson and her husband Gerald, and Gail Fasshauer and her husband Tom, all of Beach Lake, Pa. other than Kathy; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Maas and his wife Carol of Springhill, Fla. and Donald Maas and his wife Lori of Watkins Glen, NY; one sister, Maureen Mohrmann of Brooksville, Fla.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, October 25, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg, NY.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Christian burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Narrowsburg.

Lawrence Frick
Auto Parts Salesman, 51

Lawrence Frick, a longtime resident of Equinunk, Pa., died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at his home. He was 51.
The son of Violet Frick and the late Lawrence Frick Sr., he was born June 15, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio. He was married to Dolores Houghtaling Frick.
Mr. Frick was an auto parts salesman for Advanced Auto in Honesdale, Pa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a former member of the 105th New York Air National Guard of Newburgh, NY.
He is survived by his wife, Dolores, at home; a daughter, Christina Kalnohi; a son, William Frick and eight grandchildren, all of Oklahoma; his mother, Violet Frick of Toledo, Ohio; four sisters, Georgia Agapito, Lucy Bartlett, Betty Walker, and Diane Johnson; two brothers, Henry Frick and George Frick, all of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 24 at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Pine Mill Cemetery in Equinunk, Pa.
