Richard Minor
Bus Driver, 57

Richard Minor of Jeffersonville, NY, a bus driver for First Student Bus Co. of Youngsville, NY, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Grover Hermann Division of the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Callicoon, NY. He was 57.
The son of Richard and Rosemary Elmore Minor, he was born August 25, 1951 in Fort Bragg, N. Carolina.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hellerer McGowan Minor, at home; two sons, Richard Minor of Dickson, Tenn. and Arthur Minor of Monticello, NY; his stepchildren, Caroline Cromwell of Dickson, Tenn., Scott McGowan of Jeffersonville, NY, and Kristy Simms of Richmond, Va.; one stepsister, Roxanne, of Texas; and nine grandchildren.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 31 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Burial will be made in the Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery in Liberty.

Herbert G. Robinson

Herbert G. Robinson went home to the Lord on January 16, 2009.
Born in New York City, he spent many summers at the Hust Farm. He lived in Youngsville during his last years of high school.
After graduation, he moved to Ohio to live with his sister. He married Donna Davis in 1964 and had two children, Herbert III and Lorie Lynn.
He was owner and operator of a Service Station and Rust Proofing business for 12 years. He retired from Nickles Bakery in 1998 after 20 years where he was the company purchasing agent.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, East Canton, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Florence (Jordan) Robinson, and a sister, Florence Nist. Herb returned many times to visit friends in Youngsville and Jeffersonville and surrounding area.
