Donald Houghtaling Jr.,
formerly of Grahamsville

Donald R. Houghtaling Jr., formerly of Grahamsville, passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2009 in Greene County, NY. He was 30.
Donald was born on April 5, 1979 in Monticello and was predeceased by his parents, Dorothy L. Flinchum Houghtaling and Donald R. Houghtaling Sr.
He is survived by a daughter, MacKenzie Houghtaling of Grahamsville; three sisters, Sandra Ackerly of Grahamsville, Dawn Houghtaling of Grahamsville, and Deanna Houghtaling of Poughkeepsie; three brothers, Robert Palson of Akers, NY, Michael Palson of Carlisle, PA, and Ronald Palson of Monticello; seven nieces; and ten nephews. He was predeceased by a nephew, Hunter Palson.
Donald attended Tri-Valley High School and worked in construction. He was loved and touched by all who knew him. His favorite time of year was Christmas at home as a child and at sister Sandra’s house as an adult. Donald gave his heart to Christ and now is in Heaven with our “Mom.”
Our beloved brother – We will miss you immensely and through the grace of God we will all see you again.
John 14:1-4 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. TRUST IN GOD, trust also in ME. In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, May 16, at Ramsay's Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty at 1 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Iannone officiating. Burial of ashes will follow at Claryville Cemetery, Claryville, NY.
