Kenneth C. Hubert of Jeffersonville and Sykesville, Md., a retired custodian at the Jeff-Youngsville Central School in Jeffersonville, died May 23, 2009 at Future Care at Cherrywood in Reisertown, Md. He was 92.
The son of August and Adaline Menkin Hubert, he was born November 16, 1916 in Jeffersonville, NY. He was married to the late Florence Allgeier Hubert.
He was a member of the Jeffersonville Lutheran Church, and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by a daughter, Maureen Steine and her husband Henry of Huntersville, NC; a son, Timothy Hubert and his wife Karen of Sykesville, Md.; a daughter-in-law, Janet Hubert of Jeffersonville; his grandchildren, Joshua and Norma Hubert, and Jody and Heidi Hubert of Bremen, Ind., Jeffrey Hill and Jeremy Hubert of Jeffersonville, Melissa and Bill Baker and Matthew and Tammy Steine of Charlotte, NC, and John and Heather Bruning and Jerry and Kim Bruning of Baltimore, Md.; one sister, Louise Krantz and her husband Clifford of Jeffersonville; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Florence, and a son, Fred Hubert.
Funeral services were held Thursday, May 28, 2009 at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville.
Burial was made in the Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville, NY.
