David S. ‘Bubba’ Hallen
Fmr. Prop., Long Eddy Hotel, 60

David S. “Bubba” Hallen of Lava, formerly of Long Eddy, NY, died Satuday, October 3, 2009 at his home in Lava. He was 60.
The son of Jane Simmons Hallen and the late Leslie Hallen, he was born February 3, 1949 in Easton, Pa. He was married to AnnMary Cook Hallen.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam era, and a former member of the Long Eddy Fire Department and local Corvette clubs. He was a former logger and former proprietor of the Long Eddy Hotel.
He is survived by his mother, Jane Simmons Hallen, of Kentucky; his wife, AnnMary Cook Hallen, at home; his sons, Timothy Hallen, Dickie and Cody Bojo, Clinton, Bryce, Colby and Brody Copp; his grandson, Aiden Hallen; one brother, Bucky Hallen; three sisters, Debbie Fox, Karen Vaughn, and Sandy Butler; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, David Hallen.
Friends may call Tuesday, October 6, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main St., Callicoon.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
