Salvatore B. Indelicato
November 18, 1930 - January 13, 2014

Salvatore B. Indelicato of Narrowsburg (Cochecton Center), NY,  a retired Senior Investigator for the NY State Police and former Supervisor of the Town of Cochecton, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. He was 83.
The son of the late Lodovico and Mary Crimi Indelicato, he was born November 18, 1930 in Highland, NY. (Ulster County)
Sal interrupted his senior high school year to honorably serve in the United States Air Force. After his service, he returned to school and graduated from the Highland High School. He remained in the US Air Force Reserves from 1949 to 1955 and received an honorable discharge.
On August 1, 1952, Sal became a member of the New York State Police, which began a career that brought him to all corners of the State.  He was also assigned as a motorcycle trooper.  He had the distinction of riding the first New York State Police Motorcycle on the NY State Thruway when the Tappan Zee Bridge was opened. In 1968 with the creation of Troop “F” within the State Police, Sal was assigned to Troop Headquarters as the Administrative Senior Investigator to direct supervision of the investigative personnel. Sal had vast training and was involved in many programs in the State Police. On December 31, 1990, Sal retired from the Job he loved beyond words, the New York State Police. In retirement, he always wanted to serve his community and decided to run for town office. He was elected as Town of Cochecton Councilman and served from 1992 to 1996. Thereafter, he was elected as Supervisor in the Town of Cochecton and served from 1998 until his term expired in 2010, suffering a stroke in 2008 before completing his term.  Sal was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Church and St. Francis Xavier Church. He was a member of the PBA, Association of Former NY State Troopers, American Association of State Troopers. He was a life member of the Monticello Elks 1544. He was a member of the Cochecton Ambulance Corp.
Sal was a unique, “one of a kind” individual. He was a tireless worker and the most happy when he was working, helping a neighbor or anyone in need of an extra hand. He was a person of great integrity, demanding but fair, and willing to help anyone-friend or foe-at any time and especially in their time of need. He was a devoted family man who loved his family and his home.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Helene (Luning) Indelicato; son:  Salvatore B. Indelicato, Jr. and his wife Lisa of Binghamton, NY, his granddaughters Nicole and Isabella; his brother, Joseph Indelicato; his sisters, Antoinette Roccio and Catherine Hurt, as well as many loving family members. Sal was predeceased by his parents, his brother Louis Indelicato, and his sister, Frances Indelicato Herron.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 from 10:00AM-10:30AM at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 11:00AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, 151 Bridge St., Narrowsburg, NY 12764. Father William Scully, OFM, will officiate. 
Burial will take place at St. Francis Cemetery, Narrowsburg, NY.

William G. Drasher Sr.
March 3, 1940 - January 11, 2014

William G. Drasher Sr. of Eldred, died on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY. He was 73.
The son of the late William and Ruby Brown Drasher, he was born on March 3, 1940 in Hazleton, PA.
William was a retired carpenter for the Villa Roma Resort in Callicoon, NY, and was a member of Eldred United Methodist Church.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Audrey Dauch Drasher at home; his son, William G. Drasher Jr. and his wife Traci of Eldred; his daughter, Audrey V. Parker and her husband Christopher of Sequin, TX; brother, Oscar Drasher and wife Mary of Nescopeck, PA; sister, Mary Ryman of Spring Hill, FL; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sisters, Clara and Mary.
Visitation was on Thursday, January 16 at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 3534 Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 17, at 11 AM.  Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Route 17B, Bethel, NY.

Kenneth W. Squires
March 5, 1954 - January 13, 2014

Kenneth W. Squires of Jeffersonville, NY, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2014 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, NY.  He was 59.
The son of the late William and Mary Landmann Squires, he was born on March 5, 1954 in New York City.
 Ken was an oil delivery truck driver for County Petroleum Products in Ferndale, NY and was a US Army Veteran, serving from 1973 – 1987.
He is survived by his wife, Lori Fisher Squires at home; sons, Kenneth Squires Jr. and Kyle Squires, both of Jeffersonville, NY; a brother, Thomas Squires of Narrowsburg, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours were held at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty NY.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2 PM.
Burial with Military Honors will follow the services at Sullivan County Veterans Cemetery, Sunset Lake Rd. Liberty, NY.

David H. Goodenough
Logger, Farmer, and Excavator

David H. Goodenough of Rileyville, Pa., died Monday morning, December 9, 2013 at Commonwealth Hospice of NEPA at Regional Hospital following an illness. His wife is the former Shirley Medlar. The couple would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in March.
Born February 16, 1941, on the Goodenough Family Farm, son of the late Kenneth B. and Anna Lilholt Goodenough, he was a graduate of Honesdale High School Class of 1959. He was a logger, farmer, “grave digger” and owner of a small excavating business and a bus and van contractor for Wayne Highlands School District for 35 years. He was a member of the Rileyville Presbyterian Church.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and storytelling with his nephews, James and Rob Histed, and his friend, Bob Spaulding.
Also surviving are a daughter, Deanna of Somerville, Mass.; a son, Michael and his wife, Ilene of Rileyville; a sister, Sylvia Bailey of Pleasant Mount, Pa.; an adopted grandson, Michael Birmingham; and 10 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Histed, in 1973.
Interment of ashes and a celebration of his life will be held in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Rileyville Presbyterian Church, 2497 Great Bend Turnpike, Honesdale, PA 18431.
Cremation took place in the Lake Region Crematory at the James Wilson Funeral Home, Lake Ariel.
