Elsie R. Intemann
Ret. Secretary, 93

Elsie R. Intemann, a lifetime area resident, died on Thursday December 10, 2009 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 93 years of age.
The daughter of the late John and Freda Dohrmann Roggenkamp, she was born on May 19, 1916 in New York City.
Elsie was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Liberty. She was employed as a secretary at Fuel Lane Corp in Liberty. She was predeceased by her husband William Intemann.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Breen of Liberty, and a niece, Carol Intemann Contiguglia of Auburn, NY, and several cousins.
Funeral services were held Monday, December 14 at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 275 S. Main St., Liberty, with Rev. Kit Robison officiating.
Burial will be in the spring in the family plot at Liberty Cemetery, Liberty, NY.
Arrangements are by Ramsay’s Funeral Homes Inc., Liberty, NY.

Donna M. Fallon
Nurse, 63

Donna Marie Fallon, a lifelong resident of the area, died Sunday, December 13, 2009 at her home in Glen Spey. She was 63.
The daughter of the late Frederick Keil and Betty Quick Keil, she was born September 29, 1946 in Middletown.
Donna began her career as a nurse at Sunnyside and Bon Secour Hospitals in Port Jervis. She was a former captain of the Westbrookville Fire Dept. and a member of the Lumberland Fire Dept. Auxiliary. 
One of the first 911 operators in Sullivan County, she was also a fire tower observer for the New York State Dept. of Environmental Conservation. She later became a nurse with Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
She is survived by her husband: Charles D. Fallon, at home; a daughter: Sharon Galligan of Middletown; four sons: Ralph Louis “Bo” Tunno & his wife Christine of Westbrookville, Charles S. Fallon & his wife Iris of Northvale, NJ, Adam W. Fallon & his wife Angie of Jackson, NJ and Todd R. Fallon and his fiancée Roxanne of Ridley, PA; a sister: Julie Sherman & her husband Roger of Wurtsboro; an uncle: William “Uncle Bill” Keil of Wurtsboro; seven grandchildren: Louis C. Tunno, Michelle Marie Galligan, and Charles, Abbey, Rachel, Brendan and Ashley Fallon; several nieces and nephews including: Jennifer Sherman, William (Tammy) Sherman, Roger (Diana) Sherman Jr., and Allison, Amy & Emily Earl; a brother-in-law: Paul Earl of Phoenix, AZ; and her former husband: Louis Tunno & his wife Kathleen of Westbrookville.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister: BJ Earl.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.  Firematic services will be held Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Hoag officiating. Burial will follow at the Sylvan Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY  12550.
Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.

Irene Tompkins
Formerly of Liberty, 87

Irene Tompkins, 87, of Hancock, Liberty, and Penn Yan, peacefully passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the Soldiers & Sailors Hospital, Penn Yan. 
Irene was born in Hancock on July 27, 1922, and was the daughter of Mabel and Guy Edgett Lewis, Walton. On April 4, 1940 she married Clinton P. Tompkins and he predeceased her.
Irene was a member of the Liberty, Hancock, and Penn Yan Methodist Churches. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Catskill Mt. Business and Professional Women’s Club, and the Liberty Garden Club. Irene lived in Liberty for 29 years and was an integral part of the family operated business. 
She is survived by seven children, Jacqueline V. Tompkins, Barneveld; Clinton Tompkins, Ellenville; Dale Tompkins and wife Jill, Baldwinsville; Sherrie Nichols, Liberty; Darlene “Dee” Brezinsky, Keuka Park; Joy Tompkins, Manlius; and Carla Houshultz and husband, Kenneth, Hancock. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Irene was predeceased by her sisters, Georgiana Bouchoux, Hancock, and Marie Wright Cadosia; and her son-in law, John Brezinsky of Keuka Park.
Relatives and friends may call at the Emory United Methodist Church, Hancock, on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. and the funeral will follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Hancock.
Donations may be made in Irene’s memory to the Penn Yan Manor Nursing Home, 655 Liberty Street, Penn Yan, NY 14527 or the Emory United Methodist Church, Main Street, Hancock, NY 13783.
Arrangements are by the Henderson-Beidekapp Funeral Chapel.
