Margaret Wagner
Homemaker, 103

Margaret Wagner of Callicoon, NY, a resident since 1931, died Sunday, December 20, 2009 at the Callicoon division of Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 103.
The daughter of Dennis and Mary Elizabeth Hartnett Reardon, she was born September 4, 1906 in Newark, NJ. She was the widow of Frank V. Wagner.
Mrs. Wagner was a member of Holy Cross Church, Callicoon, and the Rosary Society of the church.
She is survived by her children and grandchildren, Margaret M. Wagner of Mt. Kisco, NY; Barbara and Frank Addonizio of Forks Township, Pa. and their children, Bobbie, Christine, Carol, James and Patricia; Francis and Jean Wagner of Syracuse, NY, and their children, Michael and Gary; Denise and Geoffrey George of Lafayette, NJ, and their children, Kimberly, Adrienne, Nancy and Mark; 22 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 26, 2009 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Callicoon. A Funeral Mass will follow at noon Saturday at Holy Cross Church, Callicoon. Fr. Ignatius Smith will officiate.
Burial will be made in Holy Cross Cemetery, Callicoon, NY.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Holy Cross Church, P.O. Box 246, Callicoon, NY 12723.

Maureen Scheutzow-Aldrich, 43

Maureen Scheutzow Aldrich of Jeffersonville, surrounded by family, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at ORMC, Horton Campus, in Middletown, after a brief battle with kidney cancer.
The daughter of Mary and Jim Scheutzow, Maureen was born January 31, 1966 in Liberty. She graduated from the Jeffersonville-Youngsville Central School with the Class of 1986.
Maureen is survived by her husband, Bruce; her sons: John and Nicholas Simon; her parents, Mary and Jim Scheutzow; and her two brothers, Michael and his partner, Paul Burke, and Steve and his wife, Jan, and their children: Amanda, Peter and Jack. She is also survived by her husband’s children: Bruce and April Aldrich and Shelly and John Hallett, and their four children: Jesse and Jonathan and Brianna and Jorden.
Since her marriage, Maureen has enthusiastically worked with her husband in training their horses at the Aldrich Sr. Racing Stables at Monticello Raceway.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, December 22, at St. George's Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s name may be made to the Kidney Cancer Assn. at www.KidneyCancer.org.
Arrangements are by Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.

Ruth Ruderman
Ret. Registered Nurse, 89

Ruth Malman Ruderman of Woodridge passed away after a long illness on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Sarah and Joseph Malman, she was born on May 1, 1920 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of Bernard Ruderman.
She graduated from Cumberland Hospital. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Physicians Friedman, Bloom, Immerman and Cosentino Family Practice in Woodridge for 25 years.
Survivors include her daughter, Sue Kasofsky and her husband Jay of Woodridge: her son Steven Ruderman of South Lyon, Michigan; her grandchildren: Glenn Kasofsky, Ellen Pitt, Mosie Ruderman and Lela Ruderman; her great-grandchildren: Rachel Pitt, Ethan Pitt, Benjamin Kasofsky and Harmonie Ruderman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bernard Ruderman; her son, Dr. Mark Ruderman; her sisters, Frieda Wilkenfeld, Dorothy Schnabel and Sylvia Feldman; her brothers, Harold Malman, Louis Malman and Murray Malman.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 3 at the Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, Monticello, NY. Burial was in Workman’s Circle Cemetery in Glen Wild.
Shiva was held at the home of Ruth Ruderman, Woodridge.

Mildred “Shea” Pless
Ret. Waitress & Cook, 84

Mildred “Shea” Pless of Monticello, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 84.
She was born on September 2, 1925 in New Jersey. She had worked as a waitress at the Homestead Restaurant in Bridgeville and as a cook for the Monticello Central Schools, and she was a member of the Eldred and Glen Spey Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Robert A. Pless at home; her son, Robert M. Pless and his wife Debbie of Virginia Beach, VA; her daughter, Lynn Whalen and her husband Bill of Monticello; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Michael O’Shea.
Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 22, 2009 from 5-9 p.m. at Ramsay’s Funeral Home, 3534 State Rt 55, Kauneonga Lake, NY. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at 10 a.m. at Ramsay’s Funeral Home with Rev. Ivan Csete officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Rt 17B, Bethel, following the services.
