Phyllis (Conklin) GyllenHammer
Ret. Registered Nurse, 67

Phyllis Jane GyllenHammer of Callahan, Florida, a retired Registered Nurse, entered into eternal rest on January 9, 2008. She was 67.
She was the daughter of Margaret Conklin (Callicoon Center) and the late Morris Conklin.
Survivors include her daughter, Kristina Torbett and husband, Thomas; and her granddaughter, Emelia Grace all of Callahan, Florida; her mother, Margaret Conklin, her brother, William and her sister, Audrey Conklin, all of Callicoon Center; her aunt and uncle of Callicoon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Neil GyllenHammer; her father, Morris Conklin; and her brother, Ronnie.
Funeral services were held on Monday, January 14 at Robert’s Downtown Chapel, Ocala, Florida.
Burial was made in Good Shepherd Memorial Gardens, Ocala, Florida.

Paul L. Reimert
Ret. Truck Driver, 75

Paul Lewis Reimert, Jr. of Wurtsboro, a retired truck driver for Mid-City Transport in Middletown, died Monday, January 22, 2008 at the ORMC-Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 75.
The son of the late Paul L. Reimert Sr. and Catheryn Furshey Reimert, he was born May 2, 1932 in Allentown, Pa.
Paul was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea for eight years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1266, Mamakating, the VFW in Pennsylvania, and was a past president of the Mamakating Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Johnson Reimert, at home; a daughter, Diane Reimert of Pennsylvania; a brother, Forrest Reimert and his wife, Nancy of Darlington, Md.; two sisters, Gloria Bamberger and her husband, Carl of Red Hill, Pa. and Roberta Knappenberger and her husband, Arthur of Ryan La Eigin, S.C.; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today, January 24 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
His service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Pinto officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow at the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Phillipsport.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Castle Point VA Medical Center.
Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Wurtsboro.

Worley W. Woodard
Ret. Sandhog Blaster, 84

Worley W. Woodard of Livingston Manor, died Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris. He was 84.
The son of the late Bryant and Oma Brendle Woodard, he was born in Bryson, NC on July 20, 1923. He was the widower of Loretta Woodard who died in November of 1987.
Worley served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a retired Sandhog Blaster of Local 147 in New York City.
Worley leaves behind his long time companion, Doris Reynolds of Livingston Manor; two daughters, Denise L. Buchholz of Roscoe, Darcel E. Nero of Liberty; one son, Worley D. "Pete" Starkweather of Jeffersonville; daughters, Nonnivee Watkins and Theresa Wright, both of North Carolina; sons, Riley B. Woodard of Georgia, Gentry B., Delano F. and Morris D. Woodard all of North Carolina; two brothers, Vannie Woodard and Frelin Woodard; one sister, Alda Wilson all of North Carolina; seventeen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one daughter, Darlene Fredenburg.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, at Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl St., Livingston Manor, NY, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 26, at 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at the East Branch Cemetery, East Branch.
Arrangements are under the direction of Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home.
