Herbert Harder
Ret. butcher, 95
Herbert Harder of Youngsville, a retired butcher and wholesale food distributor, died Saturday, March 22, 2008 at Catskill Regional Hospital in Callicoon. He was 95.
Son of the late Cina Olsen Harder, he was born on January 21, 1913 in Chicago, Ill.
He was a member of the Youngsville Fire Dept.
Survivors include his wife, Aldona Slikas Harder at home; two sons, Bradley Harder and his wife, Barbara of Youngsville and Douglas Harder and his wife, Nancy of Sparta, N.J.; five grandchildren, Lt. Colonel Bradley Harder II and his wife, Cindy, Cheryl Graham and her husband, James, Douglas Harder, Timothy Harder and Damien Harder; five great-grandchildren, Ryan and Kayla Graham, Anna, Adam and Austin Harder.
Friends may call on Wednesday, March 26 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be Thursday, March 27 at St. Francis Church in Youngsville at 11 a.m. Father Ignatius Vu will officiate.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery Youngsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youngsville Fire Dept. or the Jeffersonville First Aid Squad.
