Emerson E. Bossley
May 31, 1922 - July 23, 2011

Emerson E. Bossley entered into eternal rest on July 23, 2011; he was 89 years young.
He was born May 31, 1922 in White Sulphur Springs, NY, the son of Edward and Elizabeth Wylam Bossley.
Emerson served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a TSGT during WWII as an aircraft mechanic and B-17 Crew member. He was co-owner of the Jeffersonville Garage until his retirement. Emerson was a devoted Christian and served several local churches as a Lay Speaker.
Emerson was predeceased by his parents; his wife of 55 years, Emma Norris Bossley; two brothers, Harold and Vernon; and a sister, Laverne Neuberger.
He is survived by three daughters, Karen Huter and her husband Don of Pine Bush, Virginia “Ginny” Bossley of Liberty, and Barbara Edwards and her husband Harry of Liberty; three grandchildren, Kim Edgar, Melissa Thiel, and Erin Tacti; four great-grandchildren, Tyler and Nicole Edgar, Ashli Torres and Zachary Thiel, and by Baby Emma Rose expected arrival in October 2011. He is also survived by his special friend, Barbara Yewchuk of Jeffersonville; three sisters-in-law, Eileen Robertson, Shirley Hillyer and her husband Bob, and Georgie Bossley; and by several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, 845-482-4280.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations in Emerson’s memory may be made to the Jeffersonville First Aid Squad or the Jeffersonville United Methodist Church.
