Peter L. Metzler Sr. of Beacon, formerly of Port Jefferson Station and Livingston Manor, died on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at home. He was 48.
The son of Joseph J. and the late Ellenora M. McNally Metzler of Livingston Manor, he was born on July 28, 1962 in New York City.
Peter is survived by his father, Joseph J. Metzler; one brother, Joseph Jr. of Redwood City, CA; two sisters, Patricia M. Metzler, formerly of Brooklyn & Port Jefferson Station, and Mary Ellen Lazarus and her husband Bill of Liberty; two nieces, Jaclyn and Caitlin Lazarus, and one nephew, Bryan J. Metzler of Port Jefferson Station.
He was predeceased by his brother, Michael J. Metzler.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Herbert C. Bryant Funeral Home, 29 Pearl Street, Livingston Manor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday June 17, 2011 at St. Aloysius RC Church, Church St., Livingston Manor. Msgr. William Collins will officiate.
Interment will follow at St. Aloysius Cemetery.
