Donald H. Hauschild, 77
January 19, 1934 - September 17, 2011

Donald H. Hauschild of Jeffersonville died Saturday, September 17, 2011 at home. He was 77.
The son of the late Lawrence and Blanche Levy Hauschild, he was born January 19, 1934 in Liberty.
He was an employee of the A&P Company for 28 years, and Malcolm Back Sanitation for 18 years.
Donald was an active member of Protection Hose Company No. 1 in Jeffersonville for 56 years. He was a Past Chief, Past President and Past Vice-President. He also served as a Fire Commissioner of the Jeffersonville Fire District for many years. He was a member of the Sullivan County Firemen’s Association; Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY); the Hudson Valley Firemen’s Association; Emmett Turner American Legion Post No. 276; and the National Rifle Association. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and friends, especially his three grandchildren.
Survivors include: his wife of 52 years, Barbara Williams Hauschild, at home; two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Dawn Hauschild and John and Dawn Renee Hauschild, of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Collin and Gavin Hauschild, all of Jeffersonville; two sisters-in-law and their husbands, Jane and Harold Gates of Palm City, FL, and Nancy and Barry DiBona of Port St. Lucie, FL; brother-in-law, William Martin and his wife, Cindy, of Griswold, CT; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Hauschild, and by a sister-in-law, Betty Martin.
Friends may call on Tuesday, September 20 at the Jeffersonville Firehouse from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 21 at the firehouse. Firematic services will be held Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. at the firehouse.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jeffersonville Fire Dept., Box 610, Jeffersonville, NY 12748 or Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stonybrook Ct., Newburgh, NY 12550.
Arrangements are under the direction of Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville, NY, 482-4280.

Nancy Hicks Henrich
Retired Legal Secretary, 83

Nancy Hicks Henrich passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2011 in Callicoon, New York. She was 83.
She was born on May 19, 1928 in Stamford, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Emma Barthel and Russell Ensor Hicks.
She graduated from Connecticut College in 1950 with a degree in psychology and started her professional career in New York City working for Time-Life Publications. She finished her professional career working as a legal secretary for William C. Rosen Law Offices in Callicoon. She was an avid traveler and reader, and was very active in her community through Holy Cross Church, the Interfaith Outreach United Thrift Store, and as a member of the St. Elizabeth Seton Franciscan Fraternity.
Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Harry S. Henrich, and is survived by her son, Theodore P. Henrich, his wife Amy, and three wonderful grandchildren, Nancy Kate, Anna Beth, and Thomas, who reside in Huntsville, AL.
Visitation will be held at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main Street, Callicoon, NY, on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Cross Church, Route 97, Callicoon on Wednesday, September 21 at 10 a.m. with Father Ignatius Smith, OFM, officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Church, P.O. Box 246, Callicoon, NY 12723.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home Inc., Callicoon.
