M. Robert ‘Bob’ Glassford Jr.
Retired Heavy Equipment Operator, 83
M. Robert “Bob” Glassford, Jr. of Livingston Manor, NY, a retired heavy equipment operator for the Town of Rockland Highway Department and a longtime area resident, died Thursday, July 12, 2012 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. He was 83.
The son of the late Marshall and Mary Louella Matzinger Glassford, he was born June 17, 1929 in Kingston, MI.
Bob was a charter member of the Livingston Manor Volunteer Ambulance Corps; a member of the Kinch Hill Hunting Club; and over the years Bob and his wife Esther raised several foster children.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Smith Glassford, at home; four daughters, Nancy Hardt and her husband Anthony of Virginia, Valerie Carney and her husband David of California, Debbie Bourassa and her husband Les of Latham, NY, and Anna Vogel of Virginia; five sons, Mark Glassford of Loch Sheldrake, NY, James Glassford of Las Vegas, NV, William Glassford of Las Vegas, NV, William Cross and his wife April of Tampa, FL, and Mark Vogel and his wife Amanda of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Herbert Glassford; and a sister, Elaine Josephson.
Funeral Services were held Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Harris Funeral Home, Railroad Ave., Roscoe, NY.

Michael Charles Okrak
Landscaping Employee, Granite Associates, 69
Michael Charles Okrak of Jeffersonville, NY, a landscaping employee at Granite Associates in Ferndale, NY, died Saturday, July 14, 2012 at his home. He was 69.
The son of Josephine Anne (Joanne) Wozniak Okrak and the late Michael J. Okrak, he was born December 26, 1942 in Washington, D.C.
He is survived by his mother, Josephine Anne (Joanne) Okrak at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty, NY; his uncle, Joseph Wozniak and his wife Rita of North Haven, CT; many cousins; and his dear friends and neighbors, the Kubenik family.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, Jeffersonville.
A Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 18 at St. George’s Church, Jeffersonville, NY with Father Ignatius Vu officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Youngsville, NY.

Doris A. Eggler
Ret. from Education Dept. of Sullivan Correctional, 75
Doris A. Eggler of White Sulphur Springs, NY, and Hondo, TX, passed away at the Pink-Bud Nursing Home in Greenwood, AR, on July 15 2012. She was 75.
Doris was born in Hondo, TX, on May 17, 1937, the daughter of Rubenell and Wilkes Wiemers.
Doris is survived by many loving family members including her son, Keith Eggler of White Sulphur Springs, and her son, David Eggler and his wife Diane and two grandchildren, Daniel and Emily, of Preston, CT. Doris is also survived by her brother, Duane Weimers and his wife, Carolyn; her sister, Judy Dietert and her husband, Delroy; brother-in-law, J.C. Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Joyce Martin in 2010.
Doris was a faithful member of the White Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church.
Doris worked in the education department of the Sullivan County Correctional Facility where she retired in 1998.
She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren spending summers in New York and winters in Texas.
After retiring she enjoyed her passion for painting. She also loved to travel and enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipies.
There will be no calling hours.
The funeral service will be held at the New Fountain Methodist Church in Hondo, Texas, on Thursday, July 19, 2012.
