Retired computer programmer, 73
Stan Wohl, a retired computer programmer, and resident of Hollywood, Florida, died unexpectedly on Thursday, February 23, 2012 in Hollywood, Florida. He was 73.
The son of Lew and Helen Langer Wohl, he was born on December 31, 1938 in Bronx, N.Y.
Stan grew up in South Fallsburg, N.Y., was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and had a dairy farm, Stanley Dairy of Woodridge, named for him.
On April 17, 1994, Stan married his wife, Vicki.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki, of Hollywood, Fl., children: Beth Kennedy (John) of Ocoee, Fl., Heather Guthrie (John) of Plantation, Fl., David Laliberte of Hudson, Ma., Jeramy Laliberte (Mardia) of Plantation, Fl.; brothers: Sam Wohl (Honora) of Monticello, Andrew Wohl of Monticello, Michael Wohl of Aventura, Fl.; grandchildren: Jessica, Nicholas, Andrew, Alexa, Elizabeth, Matthew, Ryan, Luna, Charles and Joseph; great grandson Logan. He was predeceased by a brother, Jamie Wohl.
Funeral services were held on February 24, in Hollywood, Florida.
Amanda Lee Ellmauer
Barista, 19
Amana Lee Ellmauer, of Plattekill, and formerly of Burlingham, N.Y. died on Wednesday, February 29, 2012, in the Town of Newburgh from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Amanda was born in Harris, N.Y. on May 18, 1992 to Carl and Robin Knapp Ellmauer. She worked as a barista at Starbucks Café in Plattekill. She was a 2010 graduate of Pine Bush High School and was a graduate of the D.A.R.E. program, as well as a former cheerleader.
She is survived by her parents, Carl and Robin Knapp Ellmauer, of Burlingham; one sister, Marissa Ellmauer, two brothers, Justin and Alexander Ellmauer, all at home; her paternal geandparents, Lee and Barbara Van Aken Ellmauer, of Youngsville; her maternal grandmother, Carol Knapp, of Circleville; three nieces, Jessica, Hailey and her Godchild, Savannah Lynn, and her nephew, Mason.
She is also survived by her loving boyfriend, Anthony Peluso, his mother, Mary Ellen Yantz, who was like a second mom to Amanda, and Joey Peluso, who she considered a little brother.
She is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Fred Knapp.
A statement from brothers: Justin said “I will miss her dearly and miss all the fun and wild adventures we had.” Alexander said “I am going to miss having a big sister, and miss having her around to listen to music with.” A statement from her sister Marissa: “She was not only my sister, she was my best friend.”
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 4, at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville. Funeral services were held on Monday, March 5, at the funeral home. Burial was in the Greenhill Cemetery, Youngsville, New York.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Mountainview United Methodist Church, 35 North St., Bloomingburg, NY, a student fellowship will follow.

Ruth Davison Sniffin
April 26, 1926 - February 29, 2012
Ruth Davison Sniffin, 85, of Reston, Virginia and formerly of New Windsor, NY, passed away February 29, 2012 at the Loudoun Hospital in Leesburg, Virginia. She was born in Middletown, NY on April 26, 1926 to Clyde and Anna Davison.
Mrs. Sniffin is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Tuthill of Reston, Virginia and Patricia Avery (Eugene) of Rocky Mount, NC; grandson, Christopher Tuthill (Heather); granddaughter, Jennifer Maresca (Joseph); two great grandchildren; one sister Fran Steigerwald (Henry) of Jupiter, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Harold Sniffin and a sister, Ethel Kniffin.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, March 9 from 10-11am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be then be celebrated on Friday morning at 11:00am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will follow at Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery.
