Herman E. Kuck passed away on October 30, 2012, after a short battle with liver cancer, in Alpharetta, Ga. He was 77.
Herman was born on May 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY. He was a longtime resident of Barryville, NY, and Alpharetta, Ga.
Herman was a loving son to his immigrant parents, a veteran of the U.S. Army, a candy and ice cream store owner, a wonderful husband to his wife of 52 years, Dorothy Kuck, a father of three children and dutifully proud of each one of them, a loyal Mason, a beloved school bus driver, a follower of our Lord, Jesus Christ, a friend to many and loved by all who knew him. May we all live a life as full, a life of courage, a life that is meaningful to the lives of others.
Herman is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dorothy M. Kuck; his three children and their spouses, Charles and Jennifer Kuck, Susan and Jeff Sanders, and James and Michelle Kuck; along with 13 grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law, Rebecca and Nate Rees, Benjamin Fuller, Phillip and Holly Kuck, Jeffrey Kuck, Ashley Kuck, Niklaus Fuller, Casey Kuck, Bryce Kuck, Travis Kuck, Austin Kuck, and Ryley Kuck.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 500 Norcross St., Roswell, Georgia 30075 on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 10 a.m., with interment following at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the USO www.uso.org/donate or to Longleaf Hospice at www.long leafhospice.com.
