Donald Ralph Wehner of Callicoon Center, a Lab Technician at Catskill Regional Medical Center, died Thursday, February 28, 2013 at home. He was 65.
The son of the late Ralph and Thelma Tripp Wehner, he was born April 30, 1947 in Callicoon. Donald was the husband of Betty Turner Wehner. He was a member of the Kristina Kares Foundation of Callicoon.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Turner Wehner, at home; a cousin, William Brett; an aunt, Margaret Freidenstine; a niece, Cindy Adams; a sister-in-law, Donna Gries, and her companion, Harold Wilcox. In addition to his parents, Donald was predeceased by a niece, Kristina Adams.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 34 Upper Main Street, Callicoon, NY from 10 to 11 a.m.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Reverend Jean Blackie officiating.

Arline Lipsky
Retired Secretary, 87
Arline Lipsky of Rock Hill passed away quietly with her family by her side on March 2, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center. She was 87.
Arline was the youngest of four children born to Joseph and Anne Chaiet. Originally from the Bronx, she and her husband Bernard moved to the country in 1960. Arline worked part-time as a legal secretary for Judge Louis B. Scheinman and then became Secretary to the Superintendent of Schools in the Fallsburg Central School District, a position she held for 21.5 years. After retirement, she worked part-time at Tarry Brae Golf Course until her health problems began. Arline was a den mother for her sons in Boys Scouts and a Brownie leader for her daughter in Girl Scouts. She was a charter member of the Loch Sheldrake First Aid Squad and Loch Sheldrake Senior Citizens. She was President of the Jewish Sisterhood of Woodbourne, member of Hadassah, Jewish Women International, City of Hope, Sullivan County Legal Secretaries and a representative of the District 3 Town of Fallsburg Democratic Committee.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Aaron) Salovin of Rock Hill, NY; sons, Steven (Pam) Lipsky of Waxhaw, NC, Allan (Erin) Lipsky of Hopewell Junction, NY; grandchildren, Alison Lipsky, Stephanie Blackburn, Adam Lipsky, Ashley D’Eusanio, Megan Watt and Scott Lipsky, Tyler & Rebecca Salovin; great-grandchildren: Ava and Torah Blackburn, Ari Lipsky and Arianna D’Eusanio; and her sister-in-law and best friend, Shirley Chaiet; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Bernard Lipsky; son, Ira Lipsky; her parents; her sisters, Jeanette Maybruck and Sarah Halpern; and her brother, Julian Chaiet.
The funeral will take place on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Joseph N. Garlick Funeral Home, 388 Broadway, Monticello, NY 12701.
Internment will be at the Congregation B’Nai Israel Cemetery, Marsh Road, Glen Wild, NY. Shiva will take place at the home of Sandra & Aaron Salovin.

Darlene Rhodes Peake of Long Eddy, NY, passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Callicoon, NY, surrounded by her family. She was 54.
Darlene was born April 17, 1958 to Ronald and Elizabeth Rhodes of Long Eddy, NY.
She is survived by her parents; her husband, Patrick; sons Tyler Rake, girlfriend Allison Snyder, Cory Rake; brothers, Michael (Amy) Rhodes, Ronald Rhodes Jr. and William Gorham; sister, Dolores Hauser; stepchildren, Justin, Karin and Hillary Peake; many stepgrandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Darlene was predeceased by Raymond Rake, and sisters Catherine Miller and Mary Ricco.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Henderson-Biedekapp Funeral Chapel in Hancock, NY. A memorial service will begin at 12 p.m. followed by burial services at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Long Eddy, NY.

Jeanette Milligan Jirinec Cochrane
November 9, 1920 - March 1, 2013
Jeanette Milligan Jirinec Cochrane of Lake Huntington, NY, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She was 94.
The daughter of the late Edwin and Alice Kieseler Milligan, she was born November 9, 1920 in Lake Huntington.
She was the widow of Frank Jirinec Jr. and Robert D. Cochrane. She was also predeceased by three brothers: Louis, Clark and Everett Milligan, and two sisters: Helen Lowe and Norma Edelmann. She is survived by two sons: Darryl F. Jirinec of Auburn, NY, and Gary R. Cochrane of Lake Huntington; daughter-in-law, Diane Cochrane; two grandsons: Darryl F. Jirinec II of Cayuga, NY, and Cale R. Jirinec of Auburn, NY; three great-grandsons: Tyler A. Jirinec, Jacob F. Jirinec and Bryce Jirinec; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cochrane was a 1937 graduate of Narrowsburg High School, a charter member of the Church on the Rock, a former telephone operator for NY Tel, and a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She was a 39-year member of the Lake Huntington Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Cochecton Preservation Society, the Women’s Community Club of Cochecton, and the Stoney Road Cemetery Association. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, the American Association for Retired Persons, and the Grover Hermann Hospital Auxiliary.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Church on the Rock, the American Cancer Society, the Lake Huntington Fire Company and Ladies Auxiliary, or the Town of Cochecton Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Judith Ann Kleinert, 70, of White Lake, NY, passed away on March 1, 2013. She was a member of the Greeley Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Greeley Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Greeley, PA.
The daughter of Charles and Margaret (Hetzler) Blewett she was born on November 10, 1942 in Dubuque, IA. She was married to Edmund P. Kleinert on August 9, 1975 in Elkton, MD.
Survivors include her husband: two daughters, Kathleen Winters of Camden, NJ, Kelly Jo Henderson of NY; son John Kleinert of Greeley, PA; stepsister Kathy Shumaker of E. Dubuque, IL; two stepbrothers, Vincent Sheehan of E. Dubuque, IL, Robert Sheehan of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 205-233 Hamlin Hwy., Lackawaxen, PA 18425 on March 17, 2013 at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Stuart Baker officiating.
Cremation will be private and at the convenience of the family.
