Brittany ‘Faith’ Coney, 24
April 18, 1989 - July 13, 2013
Brittany Faith Coney of Narrowsburg, NY, passed away as a result of an accident on Saturday, July 13, 2013 in Beach Lake, PA at the age of 24.
The daughter of Richard C. and Gail Bouranel Coney, she was born in Harris, New York on April 18, 1989.
Brittany had worked for Top Notch in Honesdale, PA. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Narrowsburg, NY, she was a Girl Scout, Cheerleader, 4H Member, active in the Red Cross, and participated in the Top Notch Cancer Run.
A family statement reads: “Brittany was a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and fiancée. She was very outgoing, enjoyed life and giving back to her community. She enjoyed line dancing. She will greatly be missed but will always live on in our hearts.”
She is survived by her parents, Richard and Gail; her fiancé, Ronnie Cowger; her sisters: Kim Roth, Karyn Coney, Stacey Coney, Ashley Harms and her husband Chris; brothers: Rudy Roth III and his wife Sherri, Thomas Roth and David Roth; aunts and uncles: June and Tom Conklin and Family, Ron and Lisa Coney and Family, and Scott Tartaglia; nephews: Adam, Devin, Daniel, Rudy IV, Michael, Joe, Russ, CJ; nieces, Cierra, Amber, Alyissa, and her goddaughter, Arianna (Nani).
Friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rasmussen Funeral Home, 90 Main St., Narrowsburg, NY 12764.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Cremation will follow at Maple Hill Crematory, Archbald, PA.

Alice G. Mapes

Alice Mapes, 93, daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Garnett, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, while under hospice care, in her room at Pohai Nani Retirement Community in Kaneohe, HI.
Alice, born in Demarest, NJ, lived most of her life in New York State, first in Monticello for 28 years, then for 44 years in Pompey Center in Central New York.
Her husband of 62 years, Jack Mapes, passed away in 2004.
After escaping to Hawaii from the New York winters for many years, Alice moved to Pohai Nani, near her son and daughter-in-law, John and Anne Mapes. Alice, a registered nurse in her younger years, was always active in her church and happiest when volunteering and helping others. She will be remembered especially for her love of singing.
Alice is survived by her children, John (Anne) of Kailua, HI, Bruce of Newtown, CT, and Janet of San Francisco, CA.
