Harold Muthig
November 12, 1930 - August 26, 2013
Harold Muthig, a 28-year resident of Hardenburgh, NY and a lifelong area resident, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013 at his home. He was 82.
The son of the late Jerome and Nellie Grant Muthig, he was born November 12, 1930 in Aden, NY in the Town of Neversink.
Harold proudly served Our Country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a manager of the Salmo Fontinalis Flyfishing Club, a retired Highway Superintendent for the Town of Hardenburgh, a construction worker, logger, and farmer. Harold was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting; he was a member of the Aden Hunting Club.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Beverly Smith Muthig; his son, Tod Muthig and his wife Heather; his daughter, Dawn Wynkoop and her husband James; his grandchildren, Amber Wynkoop and her fiancé James Thibodeau, Kelsey Wynkoop, Matthew Muthig, Makenzie Muthig, Cameron Carlo and his wife Sydeny; one great grandson, Lucian; two brothers, Raymond Muthig and his wife Dorothy, and Paul Muthig and his wife Cheryl; one sister, Annette Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
Harold was predeceased by his brothers, Grant, Calvin, Clyde, Blake, and William; and his sisters, Mildred Huggins, Hazel Raflowitz, Fern Muccino, and Doris Coon.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 30, 2013 at 11 AM in the Harris Funeral Home, West Street at Buckley, Liberty, NY. The Rev. Gretchen Fischer will officiate.
Burial will be in the Rural Cemetery in Grahamsville, NY.

Edmund C. Schimek
Retired Housing Manager, 94
Edmund C. Schimek of Roscoe, NY, a retired housing manager for Chas. H. Greenthal Co. in Long Island and a long time area resident, died Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at his home. He was 94.
The son of the late Edward and Lottie Williamson Schimek, he was born October 28, 1918 in New York City.
Edmund proudly served Our Country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the Pacific Theater; he enjoyed painting and writing.
Survivors include three daughters, Marianne Zozarro of Orangeburg, NY, Alicia Krivit of Roscoe, NY and Greta Salzberg and her husband Dr. Paul D. Salzberg of Lake Huntington, NY; one son, John Carter; a son-in-law, Gary Krivit of Roscoe, NY; five grandchildren, Vanessa Romano and her husband Gus, David Krivit and his wife Melissa, Gavin Salzberg, Holly Salzberg, and Molly Krivit; his great grandchildren, Alexa, Gus Jr., Brielle, Evelyn Alice, and Jeanette; one niece and one nephew. He was predeceased by his wife, Alice R. Schimek on June 18, 2010.
Graveside services and burial will be Friday, August 30, 2013 at 2:30 PM in the Riverview Cemetery, Roscoe, NY. Father Edward Bader will officiate.

Charlene Teeple
February 6, 1943 - August 27, 2013
Charlene Mary Cinque Teeple passed away at Wayne Memorial Hospital on August 27, 2013, with her family by her side. She was 70.
Charlene was born February 6, 1943 in Norwalk, CT, a graduate of Norwalk High School Class of 1961 and Danbury School of Nursing. She was predeceased by her parents, Eva Romano Cinque and Herman “Bud” Cinque of Norwalk.
As an RN, she spent her early years in Florida in the nursing profession and enjoyed riding and showing horses.
She moved to Equinunk, PA where she married Granville Teeple and immersed herself in farm life raising two children, caring for her animals and working in her sprawling flower gardens. She worked for several years in the office of Dr. Salzberg in Callicoon.
In addition to her husband Granville, she is survived by their two children, Christopher Teeple (fiancée Sue Zieres) of Equinunk, and Kelly (Jeff) McLaughlin of Windsor, NY. Her two grandchildren Megan and Katie McLaughlin, whom she adored, her sister Rachelle Cinque of Redding, CT, Travis her horse, and her clever dog Cassie also survive her.
Viewing will be at the Union Methodist Church, Equinunk, on Saturday, August 31, 2013 from 10 a.m. to noon, with service and burial to follow.
Those who wish to honor Charlene’s love of animals may make a small donation to an animal shelter of their choice.

Paul B Mikulak 1955-2013
Paul B Mikulak Jr. of Cherry Ridge Twp., Honesdale PA., Owner of Honesdale Fire Equipment died Saturday August 24th, 2013 at Scranton Regional Medical Center. He was 58. He was the son of the late Paul B Mikulak Sr. (1999) and Fay Schwab Mikulak (2010). Paul was born on June 12th 1955 in Carbondale. Paul was a life time member and Capitan of Hose Company #1 and Past Chief of Honesdale Fire Department. Paul is survived by his son William Mikulak, his wife Becky of Beach Lake, three grandchildren, Damian, Jaidyn and Lucas Mikulak. Also by his companion Christy Alekson, his Sister Leslie Mikulak Cordaro (husband James), Brothers, Gregory Mikulak (wife Stacy Wilcox Mikulak), Theodore Mikulak (wife Kim Case Mikulak), Peter and Samuel Mikulak and several nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial mass at St. John the Evangelist Parish, 150 Terrace St. Honesdale PA, Saturday August 31st, at 10:00 AM. There will be a Private Grave side internment with Family.
