SW, T-V split C championships

KINGSTON — The Sullivan West boys and Tri-Valley girls proved to be the top teams last Thursday at the Section IX Class C Track and Field Championship Meet at Dietz Stadium in Kingston.
The Bulldogs scored a total of 154.5 points to win the boys’ division, while the Lady Bears earned 204 points to win the girls’ division.
Leading their respective teams to victory were SW senior Colin Seidl and T-V junior Tehnyat Kahn.
Seidl placed first in three events: the 1,600-meter run (4 minutes, 42.94 seconds), 3,200 (10:11.45) and 3,000 steeplechase (10:26.75).
Kahn won both the shot put (33 feet, 11 inches) and discus (114-2) events.
The boys’ team standings were as follows: 1. Sullivan West (SW) 154.5; 2. Millbrook (Mill) 138; 3. Pine Plains (PP) 134; 4. Tri-Valley (T-V) 112; 5. Rhinebeck (Rhb) 89.5; 6. Fallsburg (Fall) 43; 7. Chester (Ches) 4.
