The Fremont Youth Football Red Dogs Seniors players and coaches.

Almost 60 youth participate in Fremont Youth Football program

FREMONT — A total of 57 youngsters are taking to the gridiron this autumn in the Fremont Red Dogs Youth Football League.
The league has three teams: Mighty Mites, Juniors and Seniors.
The Mighty Mites squad includes players ages 7 and 8 as well as 9-year-olds who are playing their first season. The Juniors team consists of 8-, 9- and 10-year-olds. The Seniors team is for 10- and 11-year-olds.
The Red Dogs play in the Quad County League. Some of their opponents in the league include Deposit, Hancock, Sidney, Unadilla Valley and Unatego.
The Red Dog teams also play other Sullivan County youth teams from Liberty, Livingston Manor/Roscoe and Tri-Valley during the season.
The Fremont league began about a decade ago and among those adults who were instrumental in starting the league were Mike Leewe and Phil Lynch.
A spokesperson noted that the league is “always looking for more players.”
Although the Red Dogs’ 2009 season is winding down, sign-ups for the 2010 season will be held in March.
The Senior Red Dogs are led by Coach Craig Smith and Assistant Coaches Bob Bivins, John Davis and Tom Klein.
The Junior Red Dogs are guided by Coaches Matt Garish, John Hauschild, Morgan Mitterwager, Mike Mullally, Ed Puerschner and Chris Rasmussen.
The Mighty Mites are led by Coach Kenon Miller and Assistant Coaches Mike Dirie, Bob Favre, Anthony Larry and Dennis Peters.
The Seniors team roster includes: Austin Bennet, Christopher Bivins, James Burlingame, Marc Conklin, Taylor Davis, Hunter Deighton, Bradley Erdman, Hunter Flynn, Nicholas Grossman, Timothy Jacobson, Kyle Kerkoulas, Quentin Longworth, Austin Melchick, Nicholas Miller, Keith Paciga, Alex Reimer, Alan Sipple, Chase Smith, Tom Stauch, Edward Sykes and Roger Widmann Jr.
The Juniors team roster includes: Jared Davis, Joseph Ducey, Collin Flynn, Andrew Freer, Collin Hauschild, Gage Herrmann, Shaine Hubert, Chris Miller, Benjamin Mitterwager, Michael Mullally, Cody Palson, Michael Peters, Kevin Puerschner, Kristopher Rasmussen, Hunter Shampine and John Shannon.
The Mighty Mites team roster includes: Devin Bishop, Darian Breihof, Anthony Clarke, Roy Penn Cosentino, Dominick Dalconzo, James DeAverio, Jay Denman, Brett Dirie, Zachary Favre, Jordan Latimer, Jake Lesczynski, Ayden Lowitz, Chad Mercado, Matthew Peters, Jared Rakowicz, John Ralph, Will Siegel and Albert Smith.
