BRONX – The New York Yankees were not the only winners on Sunday, August 5th. The Boys and Girls Club of Sullivan County also came out on top as they were presented with a donation as part of the proceeds taken in during the Yankee baseball trip that day.
The Yankees recognized the group with a greeting on the scoreboard (see photo above).
Gary Siegel, president of CD Trips, LLC, presented Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Alexis Eggleton with a donation for the local organization.
According to Siegel, “CD Trips, LLC has sponsored a number of baseball trips raising close to $2,000 to benefit local organizations such as Nesin Cultural Arts, Liberty PBA, Liberty CDC, SC Chamber Foundation and Liberty ALIVE. This particular donation to the Boys and Girls Club will be used to help Liberty students who may need financial assistance in order to participate in the Boys and Girls Club after school program sponsored by the organization.”
